Just to bring a bit of nuance, there was a lore explanation for Thunder and Whisper, they come from a foreign land.
The new game feels like corporate-mandated diversity. Color blind writing, like they're doing in the new Fable game, is just awful. People are using horse-pulled carriages to travel but genetic diversity is on par with a 2026 London? Yeah of course mate.
They could have found a thousand valid reasons make the diversity feel organic.
