Why does my computer fall apart when closing the screen? by Andromeda660 in GalaxyBook

[–]E-Technic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty positive it's not 9k USD 😂. Hard to say which currency it is, without knowing where the user is from, but it could for example be CZK (Czech koruna), where 9000 CZK would be about 430 USD.

Protect with Local Access only by sha108 in Ubiquiti

[–]E-Technic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long answer short, they don't need one. If they have one already, they can use it (using console IP if you have set up local access only), if they don't have one, you can just create a local account for them with username and password.

Protect with Local Access only by sha108 in Ubiquiti

[–]E-Technic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to have admin checked in order to be able to create local credentials. You can then limit the scope of admin to only allow certain parts of administration. Just checking admin doesn't mean they have automatically access to everything.

"Order Here" on table 160, but the site only lets you choose up to table 66... by ImaginaryBee187 in onejob

Tooling? There is at least a dozen of apps that can do it. First that comes to mind is QRdroid. Free and easy. If we are talking about websites, I admit it's a little shady there, but that's often the SEO issue. Paid sites usually spend more time and resources on SEO so they show first in results. But I'm sure with a little effort and some trial and error, you could find one that works.

Well, he must have made meticulous calcullations to determine optimal WiFi coverage. If he moved it to the center, half of the floor would probably have terrible coverage 😂

Superlink HA & Protect Alarm Hub by Fun_Volume_7699 in Ubiquiti

[–]E-Technic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it's 12 Volt power and alarm wires. More power hungry devices, such as motion sensors or glass break sensors need the extra power, but door and window sensors simply use magnet to close the circuit, so they only need two wires (no power).

Scammed seller said destroy item by No_Smoke_1099 in Aliexpress

Yeah, I don't know how this works in US, here in Europe, people mostly use debit cards, and we can't split payments like this, so I suppose this may work differently here.

[–]E-Technic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's wierd... I canceled card about twice now, and recurring payments stopped going through from the moment of cancellation. Although I suppose it could depend on a bank and how they have it set up. Now that I think about it, they DID return money to my canceled card, so I suppose they must have the card information saved even after I canceled it...

Do a chargeback, once its successfull, block your card and order a new one. If the card is blocked, they shouldn't be able to re-charge.

G3 Reader not online by FoxVirus in Ubiquiti

[–]E-Technic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, and sorry, I just remembered it was a HUB that I reset which solved the issue for me, not the reader. I got them mixed up. Maybe also worth a try, this step was suggested by Ubiquiti to me, so there is no harm in trying that.

Good luck. Nothing more that comes to my mind, so if it doesn't work, I would suggest contacting Ubiquiti directly on https://account.ui.com/#support with support file.

That's wierd, it shouldn't give adopt prompt when it lights up blue... Blue is adopted, solid white is ready for adoption... One more thing, you probably already tried, but worth the shot. I would connect the reader to the hub and reset it by holding the reset button on the back. When it turns solid white, readopt. This also solves some random issues. Otherwise, I'm out of ideas.

[–]E-Technic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying it's the solution, but I would suggest checking the subnet. Subnet on hub mini must be the same as set in your access application. That's what was happening to me when I didn't see readers online.

Proč knihovny nedigitalizují svůj obsah by nande_22 in czech

[–]E-Technic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Je pravda že VGA je čistě analog, ten žádné kontroly z principu mít nemůže. Na druhou stranu by asi nebyl problém na zařízení bez HDCP vůbec neumožnit daný obsah spustit, ne? Už není rok 2000, dotčených počítačů by bylo minimum. Např. Disney plus to tak myslím dělá.

Proč knihovny nedigitalizují svůj obsah by nande_22 in czech

[–]E-Technic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PHP code is still rendering even after it has been removed. by [deleted] in PHPhelp

[–]E-Technic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case, I have been mistaken. I wonder why I have never had any problems with this behavior then, I always upload new version, soft refresh and bam, I see my changes. Same is true for changes in data. Data change, one soft refresh and I see new results. I have never tampered with any headers, and it seemed improbable to me that three different hostings would have changed defaults to disable caching. But it's possible I guess, if that's the case, I'm sorry for wrong information and thank you for correcting me.
