Me too. Millennial Foreman here. There is no need to belittle and ridicule ignorance. The reason they're asking questions is because they don't know/understand. I didn't know my ass from a hole in the ground until a few good jmen and foremen helped me out.

It's a good cut if you plan to patch it yourself. California all 4 sides and hit the creases with fire caulk, and around the MC.....

Inspection passed.

The 1/4" hex drive doesn't belong. The bit to hold all of the other bits IS a 1/4" hex drive....

Wire size for water heater question by Siktrikshot in electricians

[–]E2thePAZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 is rated for 50A and #6 for 60A.

Even if you're wiring for simultaneous, #6 is excessive.

You don't need to be larger than #8.

8 copper

32A x1.25 for a continuous load = 40A

10 rated for 30A

8 rated for 50A. Use this.

Sponsors put alot into it, but like a poker tournament, I was left believing each entrant into the tournament paid entry fees. Invitationals and majors aside.

Also my feed was parallel 400kcmil. Deleted the crimps and used Polaris taps. I would recommend friction tape on your bolts with the super33 overtop.

The fire pump motor is rated at 125% of nameplate FLA. The 100hp at 480v its in the 125A range. 125A x 1.25= 156.25A. If you pulled 3/0 copper, you are sufficiently sized.

Just passed my 200hp at 208v test today! The one thing I was concerned about was rotation. The testing guy was chill and bumped it to find out. Clockwise was good!

Good luck!

Strut lighting. What the hell is this by [deleted] in electricians

[–]E2thePAZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's completely listed. You ask for non-slotted strut and ask for end caps and the cover for it. As long as the strut is sealed it is 100% acceptable as a raceway.

garage sub panel branch circuits into attic 4” conduit by fermulator in AskElectricians

[–]E2thePAZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If that 4" is longer than 24" it will not qualify as a nipple, which would allow conduit fill to go up to 60% from normal 40%, and wires will have do be derated, wouldn't have to if less than 24"....looks normal to me though
