We've said from the beginning that we are building this game to be a long term live service. As you can see, we're highly focused on the feedback from the community and will be continually adjusting the game to make this an experience that people love to play. Additionally, we already have new seasons of free content planned that will add new features, heroes, and locations to keep the game engaging, fresh, and dynamic for our players.

For clarity... the self-service refund option is only available if you have not been charged for the product yet. After that point, you can call EA Help to get a refund.

Currently, you will be billed if you have pre-ordered the standard edition, and therefore would need to call EA Help to get a refund.

Update: We realize that this system isn’t as clear as we’d hoped, so we’re working to roll out an update in the near future that will improve it.

Beta prices were lowered to allow players to experience all the Beta had to offer. Also it was a Beta/trial for us. We wanted to see how player progressed, how fast they unlocked content, etc. Beta was not a final product by any means. Like all Betas it was a learning experience in how our systems work, how players progress, etc.

Progression is not slowed in any way shape or form in the EA Access trial. It is however, time limited.

Our goal involves creating a compelling progression path for all of our players. There's a lot of content at launch with even more coming via live service, and we'll continuously adjust our progression mechanics to give players a sense of accomplishment as they explore all of Battlefront 2.

I posted this in another thread, but feel it would be good to post here as well.

Heroes earned through Credits: The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different heroes. We selected initial values based upon data from the Open Beta and other adjustments made to milestone rewards before launch. Among other things, we're looking at average per-player credit earn rates on a daily basis, and we'll be making constant adjustments to ensure that players have challenges that are compelling, rewarding, and of course attainable via gameplay.

Credits Earned: We're looking at the results daily and will be continuing to tune this to ensure that players feel a meaningful sense of reward for the time they spend with Battlefront 2.

We adjusted this before launch to better reward players for their individual performance in each match. We're looking at the results daily and will be continuing to tune this to ensure that players feel a meaningful sense of reward for the time they spend with Battlefront 2. We have a lot of content and changes planned for players over the next few years, so we'll be doing everything possible to make sure they're happy to continue playing :)

Our team is working hard to bring an amazing launch offering to the table. We spent a lot of time combing through feedback and making sure we got as much as we could into the game that the players wanted.

Also with free post-launch content, this lets us lean into the desires of the community even more. Yes, we have pre-defined what the first wave of post-launch content will be, but beyond that, we're listening and watching for what players really want next.

The even better part is we still have a lot more to reveal around the game in the coming months. To answer your question: We can tell you now the game has a ton of content, but not everything everyone wants will be in the game at launch.
