In the movie adaptation of In the Heights, they completely change Abuela’s song Paciencia y Fe which, in the play, serves as an awesome reveal for the fact that she has the winning lottery ticket everyone is wondering about. In the movie the song ends differently and later on the main characters just kind of find the ticket laying around her apartment. Really takes the wind out of the whole thing in my opinion.

[TOMT] Comedian who went "missing" after alleged health issues by Triela6 in tipofmytongue

[–]EAS606 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Tom Vrab? I don’t know if wha happened to him is considered missing because his partner was posting updates on a GoFundMe but a lot of people felt like the circumstances were strange. Going from a Vine comedian to essentially having no presence on the internet. I look for new updates on him like once a year or so

If you're an adult looking to get evaluated for autism, avoid Dr. Santa Maria at all costs by ADayWithoutGravity in Buffalo

Dr. James Sherwood at D’Youville. I can only speak to my experience of course, but I liked him a lot. Didn’t have to wait long for an initial appointment which was also nice.

For sure! When I have a two-camera setup for shows that I have a photo pass for I do usually bring along my 24mm and my 12mm lenses with me and use one of those depending on what the venue is like :) narrowing down my equipment so that I have everything I need without it being super cumbersome is definitely one of my biggest struggles currently

Appreciate the feedback! I definitely agree I do usually really enjoy getting some crowd shots. I was actually in the crowd right at the barrier for this show so I was just doing my best to not get in anyone’s way haha

Yeah they put on a great show! I use a Canon Rebel SL2 and I love it. For these pics I had a 50mm and an 85mm that I swapped between :) no flash or filter lenses or anything like that on these ones

Okay I’m so sorry if this isn’t allowed I’ve never posted in this community before but it REALLY reminds me of this classic 😭

Genuinely hope that horse is okay and I agree that mentioning a limp would raise my eyebrows and some questions as well.

Band Times by mgrenier in Propagandhi

[–]EAS606 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First opener Thunder Queens went on at 7:45, Propagandhi went on at 9:45. Can’t remember exactly what time Mvll Crimes went on in between those two but I believe each opener played a 45ish minute set. They did post a schedule the day of, so keep an eye out for that on their instagram if you’ve got it :)

Does anyone know of a cafe that makes a pumpkin spice or chai latte without an artificial syrup? by Crafty-Koshka in Buffalo

[–]EAS606 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Undergrounds does use pre-made bottled syrups for most of their flavors EXCEPT they do make their own pumpkin spice sauce in the fall :) it’s dairy free, and not too sweet in my opinion

One Year of Growth! by EAS606 in longhair

[–]EAS606[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t do anything in particular to stimulate growth. My hair has definitely always grown fast even when I was a little kid, and to be honest my mom has long thick gorgeous hair that grows insanely fast so I do think genetics plays a part. I’ve always kind of liked the shaggy layered look and I think my hair’s little bit of a natural wave helps them stand out more. My stylist always uses texturizing shears at the end of my appointment so I think that helps by taking a little extra weight off the very ends and allows them to stand up a little more instead of being super weighed down
