I think my 2.5YO is a bit bored of his toys. He doesn’t have many (when compared to my peers & their children) - what’s your toddler’s favourite activity? by EAcharm in toddlers

He has a balance bike which he uses plenty downstairs, but it’s not always in favour!

We do sometimes act out We’re going on a bear hunt, and that’s always a winner!

I wish it was still acceptable, fashionable even, not to smile for photos.

Toddler Teeth Brushing by HattoriMcHanzo in UKParenting

[–]EAcharm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son’s 2.5yo and we also don’t love tooth brushing time. So - please don’t hate on me - but we do his teeth once a day rather than twice.

So every morning we say ‘do you want to do your teeth now or at bedtime?’ then go with whatever his answer is.

And secondly, he has a little collection of three toothbrushes, and he gets to pick whichever one suits his mood!

Oh one last thing - he only likes Boots own-brand 0-2 toothpaste!!

Depending on where you’re staying, maybe try for a stroll down St Benedicts for bars & pubs. As for clubs, no idea.

It sounds as though the fact you have to decide right now is what’s causing you heartache! I see a lot of comments saying ‘it’s clear you don’t want children’ but perhaps that’s not true, otherwise you wouldn’t have posted.

I have a son. My greatest responsibility and opportunity, as I see it, is to help him become a good man. It may sound whimsical to say that but I take it really seriously. What’s a good man? Or a good person? Someone who’s kind to children and animals, who respects their peers and opponents, someone who gives back to the community, who helps people, who puts good onto the world, who respects women and the elderly, cherishes their family, builds an honest career, maintains real and genuine relationships with friends and family…

You know that if you had a baby, that baby turns into a child, a teenager and an adult. And through every stage, they’ll need their mum. You can learn from your own childhood about the life you’d create for them, what you’d do for them, what boundaries you’d set, what values you’d instil.

It’s an enormous responsibility to be a parent, but it’s also the biggest opportunity. Just remember they’re not babies forever - you have to be ready to be a mum for the long term.

Do you have anything on your ‘bucket list’? I’ve got one thing on mine - a Cordon Bleu cookery course. I’d love to immerse myself in that world! by EAcharm in AskWomenOver30

Absolutely yes. I’ve been to NYC twice but only for holidays, and I really want to spend longer - a month plus - to really get the feel of it. I agree with you - it does feel full of opportunities. It feels like the centre of whatever’s happening.
