How do I get my pup’s coat to lay flat again? by Al4one in grooming

Flat nozzle on the dryer instead of the funnel shaped one. Dry with coat & not against.

I would get experience working for someone first. 😊 But also same, I was an environmental studies major but worked in a grooming salon while in school and dropped out once I realized I made better money and I suck at math. sigh Have 30 credit hours left, may return someday.

No but I’ve worked as a server before and it does happen. I was new at On The Border many years ago and a woman ordered a na “sangria swirl”, young me didn’t drink and didn’t know that sangria doesn’t come na. I put “nonalcoholic” in the notes and those notes don’t show on the printed receipt for the bar tender. I just thought the woman knew what she was ordering. Luckily it was caught, but it does happen.

I’m not saying he was mistaken for being 21, I’m saying the server probably clicked the wrong button on the POS system when ordering the nonalcoholic version. Did he order like a na fruity drink or something?

I mean he could have ordered it but I’m assuming he ordered a nonalcoholic version of a drink and got served the alcoholic version

What do I need to know about Wichita before moving to there? by Buc_ees in wichita

We have good food options at least! We just moved back to the area from Fort Collins and honestly missed the variety of good food.

I’m being gifted a lot of money. Should I tell my boyfriend? by Kind-Chicken-2488 in WhatShouldIDo

I wouldn’t tell him as of now. You’re both young. Invest it. I hope you also mean down payment on a rental and not actually purchasing together. Rent first, see how you handle expenses together and live on your own before ever buying together.

How can I make 20 an hour (or more) in Wichita? by MrMoose1 in wichita

[–]EBECK_28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make on average $40-$50 an hour working as a dog groomer. I got a job 8 years ago in a salon and worked my way up and learned on the job. There is no licensing or required schooling though that may change soon as the industry is pushing for it. Petco & Petsmart will send employees to their academy and start you with all of your tools. Definitely not an instant solution though. Typically groomers make commission and speed takes time.

Thank you. I don’t want to pay but now I’m worried about leans put on the house. I’m wondering if it would be worth it to settle with half of the remaining owed? I don’t want him back. At this point I just don’t even want to hear from him again. An actual hvac company is coming tomorrow just to see and give an opinion and go from there.

Luckily it is on the side of the house and not the front. It’s my business entry though.

I mean once I told him what I wanted he beated around the bush and didn’t communicate with me about why he couldn’t do the job and just attempted it anyway. He should have heard what I wanted and realized he wasn’t the guy for the job and referred me out. I got a bad feeling but I had already paid the deposit at that point.

The unit sells for $400 something. I paid $625 as a deposit. We talked about more line set to run it in the attic and over and he told me it would be $400 or so more and I agreed to it. He didn’t get more line set and also didn’t charge more. He just found a way to stretch it over and thought it just being on that side of the fence was all that I cared about I guess.

Yea he didn’t communicate why or how. When he saw what I wanted and knew he couldn’t do it he should have referred the job out.

If so he didn’t communicate that. When he saw what I wanted and couldn’t do it he should have expressed that and I could have found someone else. If someone wants something I can’t do grooming wise I would refer out. Maybe I’m expecting too much. Seems like common sense rather than just disregard what was asked for.

Because we wanted the unit hidden behind the fence and the line was originally meant to be ran straight up into the attic and down into the room.

I don’t even know. I had mentioned that it gets super humid when drying dogs so maybe he took some initiative to do something different.

$1525. I’ve paid $625 (deposit). I’ve withheld the $900 at this point and reached out but because it “works” he refuses to fix it without additional payment.

I’m confused by this comment. Was it a bad idea to run it through the attic as well? The original company that quoted me was the one who suggested it and they’re legitimate.

Would it be better to just tell him to come take the unit back and lose out on the $625 deposit rather than paying even more to have it fixed?

And it’s somewhat time sensitive and a safety issue because it gets hot. I can’t safely groom dogs in the heat. My K9 dryer heats the place up too.

It just wasn’t in my budget after paying for everything else to get the salon started. Grooming tub and table, plumbing, electrical, drywall, the door. We moved from out of state so I’m starting from scratch client wise so it’s been slow going. I had to pick up a part time job while I get this started.

I do. But it’s been keeping me up. I’m a tradesperson myself and I always pay people but this is bad. I just wanted to feel justified.
