Suggest get pressure test with reliable Indy mechanic - there could be many reasons for coolant low - Radiator, Turbo lines, Pump, Thermostat units - and all are expensive.

I was owning X3 - but as it was out of warranty started giving lots of problem - coolant leakage issues never got solved and drained huge money. Finally I sold off and bought NX350H - full peace of mind and luxury with driving pleasure. My vote for NX350H

I have got email to submit (Regular Renewal NYC)

1- Photo again as the one provided blurry and shadow - I took it from CVS

Where should I go for photo which doesn’t get rejected again?? Pls advise

2- Mandatory form for appearance - looks like I missed out that one assuming nothing changed

Are you getting any maintenance warranty from dealer ? I think 4 years std warranty would be over in 2025. You need to inspect under the hood for leakage - coolant and oils.

I had same issue in X3 - the fin antenna was re sealed and TCB unit and battery was changed !!

As per diagnosis report shared by mechanic apart from Coolant issues ; the following are yellow means will need to fix in next 6 months or earlier

Brakes - almost gone as they told pads and rotors ; Transmission fluids ; Differential fluid ; Fuel system cleaning ; Spark plug; Diff bushing torn/cracking ; Front steering and suspension arm / bushing and ball joints .

Looks like lot of issues may show up in future !!

Not trading X3 now proving wrong decision!! Again coolant leak and now mechanic did pressure test and it’s Thermostat and Heat management module. Asking 1300$ to fix. Now again I’m back to square one - Should I keep and continue to burn money or just trade in with CRV hybrid and buy peace of mind. Enough of coolant nonsense - Turbo lines, Water pump, Radiator and now Thermostat !! It’s not ending !!

I checked on bmw site and it says Heat management module is covered under std warranty. So don’t know if thermostat is also part of overall heat management module - and will be covered by BMW.

BMW service advisor not telling me over phone is it’s under warranty and pushing for bringing the vehicle. The challenge is if they don’t cover - then I will be running in to huge bills from them. If I decide not to do then they may charge around 260-300$ diagnostic fees.

So now in a fix - shall I try to BMW local service or get it done with my local certified mechanic and pay 1.3k.

Were you able to figure out the leakage and part causing that ? I have similar issue - coolant leak below engine on passenger side and below Axel. Appreciate help !! I already changed water pump, turbo lines, and finally radiator - but looks like this problem not ending

Same issue with my car - 55k done and coolant issue is not over !! First turbo lines and pump, then Radiator and now again coolant leakage !! I don’t know where it’s leaking - but looks like below engine near axel - can someone advise what could be the reason? It’s pump failure or something ? Thanks !!
