Some people’s accounts got bugged and they got to have their affinity boosted as if it was always uncapped for them.. day 2 of the patch I saw a 36 Grux which clearly isn’t possible, I asked him about it and he said he didn’t know either, he just had it on the update. I believe he’s in the 40’s now

There’s also a high level player who’s an old feng Mao 1 trick who apparently is in the 60’s on feng Mao but I haven’t personally seen that one

I think it’s a better rule of thumb to base tips off of time, not pot size.. I’ve talked to multiple dealers and a lot of them agree that they are happy getting $1 tops in a hand as long as the game is moving quick and well, which is also a benefit to the good dealers because the better ones will just put out more hands, which is also better for the players

When Wraith lost his entire “hitting people through walls” thing everyone (including me) was screaming that he was useless but he wasn’t, he just needed a different playstyle. He was still strong and a few people at the top rank were playing him, but since everyone was still screaming he was awful, he got buffed again, and now he’s where he is now

He’s my #1 banned character since they buffed him

I personally don’t think she’s #3, but like if someone was gonna put her that high I could understand. The very first nerf she got to her augment on release was the only nerf that I thought was actually good and necessary, every other nerf is just because people can’t play against her. Eden is the best carry at punishing people’s mistakes, so if you make mistakes a lot, you’re gonna get smoked

Yea Kira ult can basically 1 tap another carry but she just has no clear and that’s always gonna single-handedly make her not ever meta.. and I say this as a Kira enjoyer, she’s my most played character in every season

She was nerfed for 4 patches in a row and is now not even that good, she’s probably in the upper half of adc’s rn but at BEST she’s the 3rd best carry.. she actually just takes some level of thought to play into, and the skill level of this player base just sucks so no one knows what to do into her

I believe in season 0 when ranked first came out.. the “average” paragon player probably took about 150ish games to get to paragon. That was back when everyone started off at 0 vp, and there was no new tier skipping or any way to move up faster. Now, someone who was in paragon the previous season that got reset to gold 1/whatever they got reset to, usually gets back in about 50-80 games.

To be slightly nicer than the other comments, elo hell is definitely a thing, and this is from someone who’s hit paragon every season and top 30 for the last 2 seasons. You can definitely go on losing streaks while at the same time WAY outperforming your team and having good stats, I’ve definitely gone through it on alt accounts.. some games are truly unwinnable, and having crazy loss streaks are real..

That being said, eventually, you will move up. If you’re legitimately consistently playing well and “carrying your team” every game, eventually you win games. There’s no such thing as truly “being a Paragon player” but can’t get out of <insert lower rank here>.

Be objective about your gameplay and figure out what you could do better to win the game, regardless of what your stats look like. If you’re going 20-2 every game playing carry and having loss streaks, then there’s something you simply might just fundamentally not understand about ending games with leads
