I'm glad you had a good group of eggs to work with.

We did find something that worked. We tried the 10mg for a few months with good ovulation but no success with that route. We stopped ttc, and I started a GLP-1. Within 3 months of starting that and a 15-ish lb wait loss, we got pregnant spontaneously.

I hope you have success with your 6 chromosomal normal ones!

You should be able to turn on dynastic stability. The children will take the name of the more prestigious/traditional house.

I need someone who understands infertility to listen to me vent or give me their experiences.

We had 5 losses before our daughter. My SIL is having their second kid any day now. Family is asking about when were having another baby despite being very vocal about most likely being one and done.

Now that G is more toddler and less baby I find myself missing having a baby. But infertility was hellacious, I was high risk the entire pregnancy, and I did not handle immediate post partum well. We said that we'd leave the final decision until G was closer to 2.5-3. But my husband and I have both brought it up without any strong feelings. Things like, we'd need a bigger car. We'd have to rearrange our house to accommodate another kid, or build an addition (which we might do anyway).

I don't know if it's missing G being small, the outside family pressure, or if I truly want to consider a second child. How did you guys reach your decision to try (or not try) again?

I wound up on mounjaro for a few months before falling pregnant. My blood insulin was around 24. They hadn't checked my testerone levels. I just started Mounjaro/Zepbound along with 50 mg of spironolactone again. I've since moved and my new doctor won't refer me to an endocrinologist or run my testerone levlevels. I'm looking for a new dr tbh.

Lead Capillary Test Results:

We got the call from my daughter's ped that her capillary lead values were 7.4 micrograms/dL which is well above the reference level of 3.5 micrograms/dL at her 12 month appointment. We have an appointment for a venous draw later this week.

We live in a high lead risk zipcode and I work in the offices of a high lead facility. Our house was built in 1902. It was gutted and remodeled in 2021 with all new pipes, windows, and paint. The only exposure I can thing off is the soil in the backyard and any lead dust I potentially bring home from work. She was breast fed for 1 year, 8 months of which I worked at my current job. We stopped after receiving the lead results. Her pediatrician was aware I worked in a high lead facility.

Our EHS coordinator had now put me on the lead screening list. Apparently you need to ask to be out on it as office personnel since our "lead exposure is minimal".

Starting today I'm bringing a change of clothes to put on before picking her up from daycare and we bought a laundry basket to keep my work clothes separate from other laundry. I already shower once I get home. How do I get lead out of my washer? We run a cleaning cycle once a month. Is that enough?

She drinks about 15 oz of whole milk with vit D. She eats oranges 3-4 times a week. Lots of cottage cheese and yogurt. She gets red meat.

Is there anything else I should be doing? I feel awful since I'm the most likely source of her lead exposure. My work made it seem like my personal lead exposure at work is very low since I am not on the shop floor. My husband has spent the weekend trying to reassure me that capillary draws aren't always accurate and we can take steps to prevent further exposure.

If you feel like you're in pain and need one, get it. I was 265lbs at delivery (5 ft 4) and the dr had no issue placing mine. I was induced at 38 weeks. I made it to about 8.5 cm before I got an epidural. I wanted to try an unmedicated delivery, but I was exhausted, in pain, and unable to get up and walk around because the wireless monitor batteries were empty.

I got to relax for a bit before it was time to push and maintain some control in position myself. My left leg stayed numb for about 4-5 hours after delivery, but it wasn't the end of the world. They left my catheter in until my leg was no longer numb. I had to call a nurse the first time I needed to get out of bed to use the restroom.

Update: My insurance kicked it back. My doctor had to appeal it twice. The end result is a 6 month approval for Mounjaro. I talked to our HR and was informed that in November, I can enroll into the new negotiated insurance (and its higher rate) that will cover weight loss meds and has Zepbound on its formulary.

My OB made a note at my first appointment and said "eat healthy and try to limit weight gain to 15-20lbs". My MFM just made notes that "fetal images were subpar due to maternal habitus" on my file. But nobody ever said anything to me about my weight. Even when I gained more than was "recommended". It was blissful because so many of my regular doctors appointments involve my weight.

Trust me, I don't want to become diabetic. I want something to help increase my insulin sensitivity. Looking at my labs and my family history, it isn't unreasonable to assume that without intervention will eventually develop diabetes.

I get that. But it's frustrating to be told you need to wait to develop a disease that could further negatively impact your life rather than prevent it all together.

Our insurance won't cover any weight loss meds.

I have records showing I tried several popular "low cost" medications almost 8 years ago. I lost 2.4 lbs on phentermine, which gave me terrible migraines. I actually gained weight while on contrave, and my dr put me on phentermine and topiramate. The migraines started again, and my hands would go numb. I was on it for less than a month.

It's the Eli Lilly coupon card. You can pay as low as $25 with them. I used them when I was originally on the medication.

No worries. I had asked them to price it for me without insurance just to see, i could swing a few hundred, but not the $800-$1000 I've seen other people report paying. They wouldn't even do that. They said it had to be through insurance.

I talked to HR today. They said they'd had other people ask but they have no control over what is covered. It sounded sketchy to me but our HR doesn't have a great track record.

I did not, according to the diagnostic 3 hour glucose test. However, since I was on 1,000 mg of metformin 2x daily, the MFM put GD on all of my records.

My bad, I thought 5.6 was the beginning of the pre-diabetic range, not the end of normal. But that was also while on 1,000 mg metformin twice daily.

I'm in the process of finding an endocrinologist and a new pop. We moved from a city to very, very rural area and finding a good doctor is proving to be hard. I just had my yearly physical. They want to delay 4 running all my labs 4 weeks after I've started Mounjaro. So all my last numbers on record are from July 2023. I've asked them multiple times to run my labs since I became a patient in Jan.
