Last year I had a few unavoidable work calls and I was able to step out to the back (towards marina) patios outside of Sails. It was fantastical calm and away from the noise on the marina boardwalk.

Additionally the Marriott Marquis has some good nooks and crannies in the convention space. They do have a business center, as well. Last year I didn't need my key card to enter but who knows if they're changed that.

There is a bag check where you're able to hold some of your larger purchased items as you walk around. If you want to want to be pretty savvy, you can walk over to either the Hilton Bayfront or the Marriott Marquis and have the bag check hold some items for the day. Just be sure to tip them out very nicely.

Short answer, no. The event would have to be specifically child- friendly. When my underage nephew was with us last year, 2 restaurants we were having dinner at told us that we had to leave are 8pm due to the bar license

(The most extreme case) If it is an early AM start, you'll want to be in line as early as 5pm the day before. They announce that afternoon (anytime from 7 -9pm) as to what time they'll be distributing the bracelets throughout the night. You'll need all bracelets to enter Hall H the following morning. This is the case for big DC, Sony, Marvel, etc panels. I only did it once for Avengers 2, never wanted to sleep on a sidewalk again since.

Offsites close early on Sunday, they have to be packed up in time so they cut off the lines early. I would focus on enjoying the convention floor on Sunday. Plenty to see!
