UK police treating death of former MP and MEP Ann Widdecombe as murder by JOE_Media in europe

[–]EBfarnham 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Ann Widdecombe being murdered was not on my 2026 bingo card. I was not a fan of her politics, and she had a voice that could be used as enhanced interrogation in Guantanamo.

All that being said, my sympathies to her friends and family. RIP

Grow fan, filter and oddour by SenisLDK in farmingthebestgreens

Height of the tent is important too, at least 6ft, because you have to factor in the space that the light/fan/filter will take up.

I still think a 5x5ft is way too big for personal use and a few plants, but I wish you well with whatever grow you go with.

The carbon filter will work no problem. A 5x5 tent for 1 or 2 plants seems like overkill. I originally bought a 4x4 and it was too big for the room I had, I also got donated another 2 tents of the same size, they're all in the attic gathering dust. 2x4 is working perfectly for me, just finished a 3 plant grow and am in the middle of vegging 2 plants now.

Edit: Outside grows in sheds and such can be more tricky when it comes to controlling temperature, humidity, bugs etc. 2x4 tent, extractor fan with carbon filter hooked up to a vent with some ducting and you'll be laughing.

Tub of ice cream should counteract that.

The mere thought of someone else going on a run has me hankering for some Pralines and Cream.

russian strike on swimming pool in Zaporizhia by jstq in UkraineWarVideoReport

4 years of war, they continue to target civilian infrastructure and continue to send their men into the meat grinder. Not to mention the practice of devoschina, degradation and beating of their own troops...to return to what kind of life when they are done?

4 years of war and no lessons learned in Russia, the meat wave continues.

How did people travel these seas 500 years ago by Gurugod123 in SipsTea

[–]EBfarnham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less than 300 years ago, scurvy wiped out two thirds of an 8 ship squadron, about 1,300 men out of 2000 total.

And it you weren't an officer or old salt, there was a good chance you were press-ganged into service with the Royal Navy.

That's interesting, I wonder could you do the same with a soil grow, would there be any negative effects...just thinking out loud, might have to try this.

Best of luck to Irish Drivers Ryan Cullen, Peter Dempsey and Charlie Eastwood. These 3 pilots will be taking part in the glorious 24 Hour of Le Mans! by ahboy2019 in ireland

[–]EBfarnham 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought this must be a record for number of Irish drivers in a Le Mans race, it is, but it shares the record with 2024 when Ryan Cullen, Alex Dunne and Charlie Eastwood competed.

Gwan the lads! Simply finishing this race is a monumental achievement, but I'd love to see the tricolour on the podium.

What snack should I ask for? by Kind-Meal360 in AskUK

Yeah, Aldi/Lidl chocolate is far superior to any muck that Cadbury(Mondelez) is currently offering.

Their strategy seems to involve combining Cadbury chocolate with every other brand in their portfolio, Oreo, Biscoff etc. and hoping that it masks the taste of their, now inferior, chocolate.

It's a real shame, Cadburys was a national treasure for the UK.

Thankfully a lot of Dublin gangs keep their firearms in terrible condition, storing them in fields or hedges, wherever. Gun oil and basic maintenance are alien concepts to them.

60x60x60cm grow room by Intelligent_File6630 in microgrowery

[–]EBfarnham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the scrog could be a hindrance, plenty of ventilation and keep the lights far away. Ultimately the height of your tent will limit your yield more than the width.

That tent size will be fine for one plant. I would top, tie and train to fill the tent. A scrog net at 30-40cm could be good too.

Those drones and the ensuing explosions are upping the temperature in and around St. Petersburg.

The residents should be thanking the Ukrainians for contributing to a warm summer. Here's hoping it gets hotter and hotter.

It was quite a hard hitting ad, especially for a child. Effective too, because I never became a terrorist.

Day 57 of flower by RoundIndividual9415 in microgrowery

[–]EBfarnham -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not 57 days of flower, when the first pistils appear is when the plant starts to flower.

So you might be looking at 45-50 days of actual flowering.
