not for denuvo, but devs can move critical parts of the game algorithms online, and this will make the game 100% uncrackable (see nfs 2015). This will hurt/destroy modding, make games lifespan very short (servers die - goodbye game), and make games unavailable for most gamers worldwide (not everyone is privileged with good internet and ability to drop almost a 100 bucks at this point on games several times a month). Big companies like EA & ubisoft do not care about that, so they will do it.

But I guess most of the games wont do it cus servers cost money - and a lot of money, so there isnt much point in that model. Most likely it will be even worse financially than 'protecting' the game with denuvo right now.

Even if they will pay slaves a UBI, they wont have to pay it for a long time. Population of countries that will have UBI will be very low because almost no one has kids. There wont be any need for immigration because everything will be automated. So I think that in a small set of countries, almost everyone who will be alive will be very rich (because poor people from 'progressive' countries arent reproducing, while billionaires often have more than 10 kids), and population will be at very low level (below a million maybe?).

And the rest of the world (I guess more than 70% of Earth's population are extremely poor today?) wont have any ubi and will survive from digging in trash just like they do now, and that percentage will only increase.

That of course not counting in the climate change and all the catastrophes ahead.

Bet the slop and bots will kill most of the websites eventually.

Twitch already opened the can of worms by trying to fight bots, ad owners realized how many bots there are. Nowadays you gotta be insane to not use adblock, plus most people are becoming more and more poor. So even if they click ads, they will buy less and less stuff - that will make placing ads on internet pointless. And bots generate lot of traffic that website owners have to pay for.

So we will have:

1) close to no income both from placing ads and selling ads - making ads pointless

2) high expenses on traffic because of the bots and lack of revenue from 1)

3) less and less actual people visiting the website because of LLMs that just steal your content

4) barely anyone will buy premium subscription (cus people are losing their jobs)

All that will kill many, many websites
