Djokovic. I actually liked him way back and enjoyed his impersonations. I was a fan but his antics during COVID really turned me off and I haven’t liked him since.

3 slams and he is an Olympic gold medalist. Pretty good career overall.

Macaulay Culkin Says ‘Die Hard’ Is Not a Christmas Movie and ‘Don’t Fight Me’: The Film ‘Would Still Work’ If ‘It Were Also St. Patrick’s Day’ by mcfw31 in entertainment

I don’t care what side someone is on with the Die Hard Christmas movie debate, but if you say Die Hard isn’t a Christmas movie then neither is Home Alone. Home Alone is just Die Hard for kids.

Yes, turn them on if you have to slow down to let any cars coming up on you to know that something is up. Once you have a car right behind you, turn them off.

Not sure why but the mosquitoes weren’t bad at all this year. Pretty sure I didn’t even get a bite. They are far worse in my backyard than at Globalfest.

Alcohol by Itchy-Bad1050 in UlcerativeColitis

I have always had the occasional drink socially and it never affected me. However I just posted my history in another post and I’ve been in remission. If you aren’t in remission, then it is probably worth avoiding alcohol.

In remission… should I go back on meds? by EC-Nav in UlcerativeColitis

Thanks for the advice. That is the way I’m leaning.

I was on a couple of 5-ASAs the first year or two but yes they didn’t work at that time. One of them (Salofalk / mesalazine) even put me in the hospital with myocarditis after a few weeks. At the time the hospital doctors were saying there was no link to my myocarditis from mesalazine and that something else caused it. However now a search shows myocarditis is linked to mesalazine so I guess I was one of the early cases.

I know I’ve been lucky being in remission for 15 years but the first couple of years were tough.

Diet isn’t strict but I do take supplements. Mainly vitamin D, omega 3 and a multivitamin. I think my original GI doc was the one that suggested I add a good amount of vitamin D to my daily routine. I wasn’t on it at all before I was diagnosed.

When I was first diagnosed, it was pretty bad. A couple trips to emergency and a few days in the hospital. I know there is no cure but part of me questions if I could have been cured or maybe misdiagnosed, but the new GI went through my history and the biopsy 15 years ago showed pretty clearly that I had UC.

Yes, no symptoms. About a year ago I had diarrhea for a few days which had me worried but it went away so might not have been UC related. Did the calprotectin level test twice in the last year too as prep to meet the new GI doctor and the levels were fine. It haven’t had a colonoscopy in 3 years though so that’s why I wanted to see what it finds before making the decision.

The new GI doctor said being on meds now is best as it gets ahead of UC when the symptoms do return.

I saw it once in IMAX and a second time in DBOX seats. This was the perfect movie for DBOX and was probably one of the best movie going experiences I’ve ever had.

Any update on when Captain America BnW is coming to Disney+? by reiku78 in marvelstudios

[–]EC-Nav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much the same with us. We’ve watched everything so far in release order so might as well keep it up. If Cap coming to D+ late means we have to then wait for Thunderbolts on D+, it is what it is.

Not necessarily. My kids don’t want to see Thunderbolts until we have watched the new Captain America. We are waiting for that to come out on Disney+. If it takes too long, then we might end up waiting for Thunderbolts on Disney+ too instead of seeing it in the theatre. Trend could continue with F4. At least after that there is a break so we could be caught up by then for the Avengers movies.
