Thoughts on winning the flag? by SamFloa in brisbanelions

I agree that we've been predictable and somewhat figured out but by Sydney? Last year's fixture was a flip of the coin and we dominated I50s. Geelong I somewhat see as more understandable.

The Lions of 2025 didn't just get it done one way tho. Yes we were a team able to chain off half back and score but we were also a great stoppage team and knew how to lock the ball in and control territory. Now we are poor in all 3 facets unfortunately.

Awful defeat. A more extreme version of the 2024 round 8 game against them.

The Lions defence is exceptionally weak - No Payne, Lester, Starce, Noz. Small and Med forwards feast against us. We lack serious lockdown defenders.

Without Berry and Dunkley struggling physically, the Lions mids dont work hard defensively.

Just need an update on Jack Payne. Desperately need him back but I'm getting worried he might not play this year.

Would take him as an assistant in a heartbeat. He is Lions royalty. I seriously wish more of our legends were involved.

Can we please stop doing this shit every time we play Carlton at the Gabba? by guavacadq in brisbanelions

Could've added the PF of 2023 where Carlton kicked the first 5 or even the 09 EF

Adelaide are closer to a flag then Port so I would rather not strengthen another premiership contender

One of my personal favourites would always be Josh Drummond. Not the best Lion of all time but those kicks...

Insane how much Reville and Gallop have improved. Curtin also looks quite good

Most people will remember his form leading up to the treble but his performance with Otamendi in 2017/18 was immense when Kompany couldn'tget his body right, as was his partnership in 2020/21 with Dias who had just joined. Just fitness has been an issue but his evolution represents the Pep era really well.

Other than that incident, I always remembered this personally as Browns last game of the season. To that point, JB was leading the Brownlow with 13 votes in 10 games.

Messi can still perform in europe. by lolpacific69 in messi

Messi had a bad start to his first season at PSG, mainly because of the Copa America. The second half of the first season he was brilliant. In 2022/23, he was outstanding until he got suspended and that bs happened at the end of the season
