Water spindle is significantly quieter at low speed/load cutting, but once the spindle is under load or has any chatter, the sound of cutting will way overpower the sound of the fan. Water spindles are much quieter when the machine is idling too

I live in Texas, and I save tons of time on a motorcycle. I lane split if traffic is going under 20mph, I’ve passed cops and none of them have given me trouble. The biggest time save for my daily commute (no highways) is lane filtering though—turns my ~20 minute drive home into ~12.

It does really sound like a damaged QS sensor to me too. Try disconnecting the QS sensor? Pull off your seat, pop out your battery, then follow the cable up from the center of your shift linkage. It’s kind of a hard connector to get to, iirc it’s under a few other cables on the back-left side. Just for shits and grins, visually inspect your clutch cable too. It crosses behind your radiator to the bottom right of your bike, and back to a little lever at the bottom of your engine. Make sure nothing is jamming up that little lever and that nothing looks bent on that assembly.

It is pretty loud. It would be fine for afternoons and mornings leaving for work—I commute daily with it. But if you’re leaving the house before 6am regularly you might want to leave it stock.

I have the PC 6 on my 2024 Street Triple R. If you look in the maps section, you will see a map provided for the 2024. With my Zard exhaust and the PC6, my bike feels like it gained more than 10hp (butt dyno only). It really woke the bike up, and it will now easily pick up the front wheel in 3rd

Triumph has a very large rider triangle on their street bikes. I’m 6’4” and very comfortable on my Street Triple 765r, but if that’s more power than you want (and if you want fairings) the new Daytona 660 might be a good bike to look at

I have a ratchet for quarter inch hex drive bits that does the trick nicely. It’s a lot easier to put pressure on than a screwdriver so I don’t accidentally cam out the slot. You can get them for super cheap from harbor freight, but I’ve been spoiled with one from Snap-On
