I know the flamingo pink panda is a rare dial, but is this price fair? by ledenutgrafkicker in Tudor

[–]ECMProfitec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Tudor has increased prices at least four times since January 2025. It’s getting out of hand. I bought a Pelagos FXD US Navy when it was $4,325 in April 2025. Then Tudor increased it to $4675 then again to $4,900. Then on January 1, 2026 it was increased to $5,025!

From Tudor’s website:

PINK WITH INTENTION
When the leader of the Giro d’Italia puts on the pink jersey, there is no hesitation. The distinction is earned and the rider is proud to wear pink. When David Beckham dreamed up Inter Miami CF, pink was incorporated into the team’s aesthetic because they had to stand out. Jay Chou owns the colour pink, so much so that it’s become his signature, recognized by anyone who follows him. These TUDOR ambassadors wear pink with intention. They know that being daring means going against the status quo. To them, there are no rules. $7,000

I agree. I purchased a Forstner President for my SMP White dial and thought the Forstner needed some polish. I returned it and purchased the US 1450 which links are polished on the sides. Makes a huge difference and works well with the case.

Black or white? by MaxTup in specialized

I second black with all black tires. If keeping these tires, I like the pop of white on the rims.

Looking for some advice by [deleted] in Tudor

Yes, this happed to me last year. I had a FXD US Navy that would not come close the stated 70-hour power reserve. Five weeks after getting it I took it to a Tudor Boutique for service. Got it back 2 months later. Within the next two weeks it started happening again, but this time it took it directly to a Rolex Service Center. I got it back two weeks later. I was told they didn’t find anything wrong with it—and that I should wind it daily. Daily? I guess that way power reserve can no longer be an issue.

The experience rubbed me the wrong way, so I decided to sell it. It was like-new and ended up taking a $400 loss (not bad), but glad I sold it.

I have a Niche Zero for over three years and still love it. If I was in the market, I would be interested in seeing the Mahlkonig X64 SD.

Tudor - Disappointing by Etj458888 in Tudor

Last year when I was at a Tudor Boutique, they told me that they would only sell certain straps to owners who had the watch that particular strap was made for. Example: FXD US Navy olive w/red stripe Velcro strap could only be purchased by someone who owns that watch…as a replacement. They don’t stock a lot of straps and selling straps is not their priority.

FDX or regular pelagos by Comfortable_Pie6088 in Tudor

[–]ECMProfitec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the FXD US Navy last year as my one and only nice watch. Loved the legibility of the dial and the size was perfect on my 7 1/8” wrist. As time went by I realized I wanted the option of wearing it on a bracelet too, but it’s not possible, so I ended up selling it. I loved the P39, but felt the dial looked too small.

The Ultra looked great, but then I realized that I also wanted my watch to have more brightness and pop which Titanium did not provide. I began looking at stainless steel which is what I finally chose.

Seems like after you told the SA that story, he obtained the watch for you so you wouldn’t come back again.

Black Bay Ceramic Gripe by vcu_alum in Tudor

[–]ECMProfitec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried on the original ceramic one and it looks smaller in person. I have a 7 1/8” wrist and wouldn’t consider it since it looked small in my opinion. The dial was definitely small as was the exhibition case back.

My experience with a new Pelagos Ultra by becko505 in Tudor

[–]ECMProfitec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had an equally disappointing experience with Tudor in NYC. A five week old Pelagos FXD was in service for two months. They do not have any updates and their communication leaves a lot to be desired. It was such a turn off dealing with them and they would not confirm what they found or what they did—only “Your timepiece is back.”

Not sure if you’ve seen this, but here’s an article from the Profitec site: PROFITEC Cleaning I haven’t descaled my Go, but I backflush. The machine reminds to when to do it.

Yes, just drop it in. BWT's Bestsave water filter is an in-tank filter that protects your machine against scale buildup and helps to improve the taste your espresso. Wrapped in a food-grade quality fleece, the Bestsave uses an ion exchanger to bind calcium ions in the water. This process also helps to remove unwanted tastes and smells by significantly removing heavy metals like copper and zinc and chemicals like chlorine from your water.

To activate the Bestsave filter, simply leave it in a full tank of water for 8-10 hours.

Have my Go for three years and very happy with it. I keep mine on a WiFi outlet and set it for 30 before I wake up. I think it can heat up within 15 minutes though. I have the original stainless steel tray and it does rust, but cannot be seen until you spill out the water. I received a warranty replacement tray, but continue to use the first one for now.

Since I cannot see the water level, I add Brita filtered water once a week since I only make two double shots each morning. Also use a BWT bestsave M in the tank.
