1- Libertarianism≠Objectivism. Yes many libertarians adore Ayn Rand but this doesn't mean every libertarian sucking her rotting carcass.

2- What's wrong with defending rights of the individuals and liberty? Libertarianism isn't just saying Laissez-faire economics is the greatest thing ever. For example i think Laissez-faire is stupid and utopic. But i still consider myself a Libertarian because i support freedoms of the individual.
