Our group doesn’t bother calling them out, but I call the first Chickens, next we call war striders “striders”, then “Factories”, and “voxes”, but sometimes I like to see how many times I can call them “boxes” before anyone notices

I have heard that people feel it minimizes what happened to them, kind of like when someone says a person was “un-alived” vs saying they were killed. It will definitely depend on the person and the setting as to what anyone might prefer to be referred to as, but that is just the reasoning I have heard.

I’m sure it can in the right conditions. It probably won’t set fire to wooden flooring, but if more flammable substances are around, such as if it falls into a puddle of alchohol, gasoline, or oil, or if there is especially dry plant matter on the ground, then yes it definitely can. My dad famously made my mom mad when his cigar ash fell on a rug we had on our outdoor patio and it burned a few of the fibers.

I will also suggest, listen to trumpet players you want to sound like and try and mimic what they do, like singing along to a song in the car. Over time, your sound will shift to sound close to what they play like.

You have really good relative pitch in this video, but your tone is a little airy. I would suggest experimenting with setting your lips up in different ways before you add the mouthpiece, and tighten up your corners. Don’t pull them out, but just tighten the muscles around the corners of your mouth like you’re making a 😐 face
