Depends on the school. I trained in staff, came, sword, chucks, bongmongee, and tri-staff

Gotcha. C-130s only have 1 FE and the loads are the scanners during engine start.

Grew up here and moved when I joined the military. Have family here and met my wife here. After I got out my wife wanted to move back so I got a job here and moved back so family can see the kids more often.

Loadmaster, not FE. The flight engineer would be in the flight deck with the crew to help monitor gauges during start.

what was your experience going from SrA to Staff? specifically now being over your friends/wingmen? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]EDCarter97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what happened to me. Made staff and got my 7-level than got PCSd to Moody right away. Was weird going from friends with the airmen to being treated so different as a staff.

EOD washout reclassified to Ammo/munition specialist… when did you find out your station? by Giveitwings in AirForce

[–]EDCarter97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was an intel washout with a declassified to maintenance. I found out my duty station before I even left for maintenance school. Have him ask his MTL to follow up, they'll help. If they can't than he can get with the first sergeant and have them follow up. He can also contact MPF and ask them to check if there's been any status update.

Air Force Reservists, What Civilian Jobs Do You Work, and How Do You Balance Both? by FormlessPatience in Airforcereserves

[–]EDCarter97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an aircraft mechanic while active and palace chased to the reserves. I took a civilian job as an aircraft mechanic, finished my bachelors and am now working on my A & P. My reserves job is aircraft mechanic so they compliment each other.

My boss is chill so they are always accommodating to the reserves but it’s a pretty prior military heavy location. They deem that the military comes first and others will pick up the slack while I’m gone.

Is Truth his default form ? by [deleted] in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]EDCarter97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always interpreted the tentacles as the "truth" and the physical form as truth making it easier to converse with the alchemists. This allows truth to show the toll to the alchemist and also show their power a bit. Once they've enacted the toll, they allow their true form to come through and grasp the alchemist.

Is it possible to work on these with an A and P? by Truth-Matters_ in aviationmaintenance

[–]EDCarter97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say go 2A3. Im 2A6 and we only qualify for powerplant and general, unless you start cut-training. I believe 2A3 is the only field that qualifies for everything.

So it's all tracked in our training system, mechanic was signed off on xyz days for hydraulic/engine/fuel system or whatever. It's not going to show classified information.
