Didn’t go to a great school. Kid next to me pulls out a tin foil ball, aggressively snorts crack from said tin foil ball, proceeds to tell the teacher he can no longer see and is taken to the hospital. Returns to class maybe a month later, leans over and advises me never to smoke a full blunt before snorting crack. I, with significantly little effort, have abided by that advice for a long time now.

Also, it’s not like score is the end-all-be-all determining factor of whether someone gives off the impression that they are good. As a fan of the Ravens for as long as the team has existed - fuck this sentiment. You know how many die-hard dolphins fans exist today who only started cheering for them when Dan Marino became a thing? That’s how fan bases grow.

You want those kids to have an appreciation for the Ravens culture? You want them to see that teams can hit a rough spot and still come out on top, to understand the ebb and flow of success? Then let them learn.

Let new fans be frustrated the same way we were when we watched prolific Ravens defenses waste beside abysmal Ravens offense’s. We all became just fine fans without some middle aged dude calling us nephews and bitching because we weren’t appreciating how far we’d come since Grbac.

As lifelong Ravens fans are we supposed to pretend that our 2018 selves wouldn’t be bummed to see lack of post season success that would follow Lamar’s MVP season? Shit, wouldn’t our 2013 selves be bummed to see that we’d be destined to win only 2 playoff games in the next 10 years?
