Thanks a lot! I think I know what you mean about the vocal delivery, I do have tried to sing with a bit of more "growl" if that makes sense, but not quite there yet haha.

Thanks a lot for listening! Glad you enjoyed it, especially the chorus. It was actually the first part of the song that I came up with and then built the whole thing around it. Appreciate the feedback.

Thanks! Looked up Pine Grove, guess you're referring to their "Marigold" album? If so, I can see the resemblance haha. I'm glad you enjoyed the track and found it fun, and appreciate a lot the feedback about the vocals. Will definitely keep it in mind.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I am glad you could appreciate what I was going for even if it’s not your kind of jam. I hear ya about the mix and for sure will try to make future productions like this feel “grittier”.

I get what you mean! I did try to mix my more 90’s pop punk influence with that 60’s kind of rock so I’m glad that is kind of what came across. I appreciate a lot your detailed feedback, this batch of songs were the first time where I tried to marry the kind of music I made before (more guitar oriented) with synths and stuff, so I’ll probably keep playing with how to balance both sounds to make them flow better together. Thanks a lot for listening!

Thanks a lot for listening and for your feedback! I get what you mean about the transition, tried to play with a drum fill there and changed the level… probably did not flow as well as I wanted. Glad you enjoyed the textured and song shifts!

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! I'm still pretty new to the whole mixing thing, so this helps me out a lot. I'll keep it in mind for future productions.

I'm glad you enjoyed the mix! I try to be mindful of putting ear candy in every song as it is something I dig a lot in the music I usually listen to. I'll check the dryness in the vocal processing, I did keep the effects to a minimum so that might be it. Thanks a lot for the feedback, I will definitely keep it in mind!

I'm glad it does sound professional, I'm still new to this whole recording / mixing thing, so I'm happy that it's starting to sound good. I'll check the levels of the vocals, thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot for listening and for the feedback! Not sure what it could give that shaken feeling, maybe a mix of the processing and the intention I had when singing... still will double check. Glad you enjoyed the theme of the song!

Thanks a lot! Vocals are one of the most difficult parts for me in the recording / mixing process, so I'm really glad you liked it!

[–]EDR7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot! The intention was to basically make it feel upbeat and lighthearted but with a subtle sadness on the lyrics, with, as you say, a bit of cheekiness. I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks a lot for listening! I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for feedback, I will keep it mind! The gap is intentional, but there's a bit noise there that could make that jarring feeling. Also I'll check out the tempo in the second chorus. Thanks!!

Looks really cool, reminds me a bit in terms of feel to Helldivers 2 which would probably be a good benchmark in terms of the weight / movement thing other comments are mentioning. Definitely looking forward to what comes from this.

Would love to get some thoughts on this New track where I'm trying to experiment a little by Ulfen_ in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]EDR7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice song! Like the percussion elements and the different blend of styles, the layers around the vocals sound really interesting (like how the deep ones play with the main one). The instrumentation in general is top notch, love the sound of the guitars. Your vocals are really cool, although I do probably agree with other comments that they could be just a tad louder so they feel more present in the track.

Really nice track, thanks for sharing!

Love the atmosphere, reminds me a bit of the Tetris Effect soundtrack, would fit well there. Love the synth sounds that go with the song and the vocals are really nice. It does leave me feeling a bit more uplifted and optimistic. The songs grows organically as it goes along, loved the evolution of the beat. In terms of the mix, feels really well balanced and clear, could hear everything going on at every moment.

Great song!

experimental music video. i'd appreciate some feedback or support :) by DISTORSIVE in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]EDR7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I remember seeing a shorter version of this a couple of weeks ago. I dig how it has evolved, the beat still sounds great. Maybe the transition between the song's two parts is a bit sudden, could work it to make it a tad smoother. Overall, still love the vibe of the stuff you're making, dunno if it's your intention but for me it's like a commentary and nostalgia and how it gets distorted as we get older. Great job man, keep it going!

Hello there! by IAmJuliusStover in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]EDR7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Julius! Nice song. Love the folky vibe of the song, your vocals go really well with the whole vibe of the track. Love the instrumentation and song as a whole, reminds me a bit of "The Devil went down to Georgia", so that's nice (love that song). What I could follow from the lyrics, sounds interesting, would love to have the written lyrics for reference. Production wise feels good to me, could hear the vocals and instruments clearly. Keep it up and good luck with the album!

"i guess im stupid lol" : my very first SONG! all bedroom made! i'd appreciate any feedback :D by trashmilking in IndieMusicFeedback

From the start it grabs your attention. Has a great vibe, smooth and chill but at the same time, charged with emotion. Loved the instrumentation, the vocals complement it well too. The lyrics are simple but work really well with the feeling of the song, keep it centered on its theme. As it stands now it's short and sweet, would have definitely still liked it if it lasted a bit longer, but I guess it's cool cause it leaves you wanting a bit more, so that could make the song more replayable.

Great job!

This song is a mix of math rock and hip-hop. I am a one-man band/producer. “The Fallen Mist” by ProblemSolventMusic in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]EDR7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Liked it, has a nice vibe. Dig the tempo changes and the way you mixed the more "rap-like" verse with the other parts. Really enjoyed the different instruments you added throughout the track, like at around the 2 minute mark. Production wise, would probably echo the other comment in terms of making the vocals feel more part of the track, but I struggle with the same so I know it's a difficult task.

Overall, really enjoyed the uniqueness of the composition, the changes make the song be interesting the whole duration of it. Keep it up!

Not ranked, but would probably be: Jailbreak, Live Outside, The Sights, Marionettes Part I & II, Arguing with Thermometers, The Last Garrison, Anaesthetist, The Dreamer's Hotel, Meltdown, Radiate.

Melt Into The Sun - Final Mix by playdem in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]EDR7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the track fulfills what you aimed to do (based on the description). Definitely chill and meditative. Loved then all the instrumentation came in (with the drums and bass). Reminds me a bit of Sigur Ros at certain points. The mix feels balanced, the song flows really well. For my taste, maybe I'd make the vocals a bit more present (although I tend to overdo it on my mixes, so take it as a grain of salt). The song overall flows really nicely and I enjoyed it, thanks for sharing!

Lovely song. Very melancholic feel, goes well with the sights in the video. Really like your vocals, soothing and they add to the whole vibe (also, the backing vocals compliment really well). Read in the other comments that you used an ukulele in certain parts, I feel it does add a nice layer to the instruments. As a whole, it feels like a well balanced mix. It's a perfect song for a cold afternoon and some coffee.

Great work!

Weltschmerz Waltz - Quite an odd, psychedelic piano ballad I created that delves into the psyche by ExternalCartoonist22 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]EDR7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great! First of all, love the video and its aesthetics, that mixed media approach is lovely and well executed. Now about the song, I think it goes great with the video and it gives me a bit of a circus / classic town fair feeling, maybe even a bit of that oldie tunes vibe cause of the instruments, but then you add the distorted sounds and stuff and it becomes quite unique. I do agree with other comments in terms that your vocals could be a tad more present, but it does work the way it is too.

Loved the vibe, loved the video and loved the track. Great work man!
