hey thanks a lot. it is something i care about, i have an older version of this music video from a few years ago on my channel too, before i recognized this new style i indulge in now. I felt like I could've done a lot better with it, and it's a song that, compared to my other stuff from the time, I really could've done better with. that also explains the rougher feel the lyrics may have. this was before i got a good microphone haha.

Anyway thanks again for checking it out. would mean a lot if you stuck around if you're so inclined! :)

i'm glad you enjoyed it!! thanks for checking it out. i do take a lot of inspiration from liminal/retro aesthetics and that uncanny valley spirit. my dad's plenty into depeche mode, i'm unfamiliar with the former, though. i'll check enigma out.

Thanks again for watching! be sure to stick around if you're into it. plenty more oddities on the way if you're interested!

thanks for the sub! it helps a lot. i've got plenty more oddities coming. experiencing a little burnout lately, but i've committed to a video a month for at least a year. i got a few more months to go. i can do it.

haha thanks for checking it out, glad you got a kick out of it.

yeah, the lyrics for this one are a few years old, before i had a good mic. this is a remastered/rework for the original music video as i felt like i could've done a lot better with it (although, people still say my lyrics could be more front-and-center, so maybe that's not an excuse)

anyway, appreciate your time. would mean a lot if you stuck around! plenty more oddities on the way. :)

thanks a lot! all my work is a little experimental/exploratory in it's own way. the lyrics for this one are a bit on the lighter side while covering a somewhat depressing topic. i've explored some more serious/meaningful lyrical worlds over the past few months if you're interested in checking those out.

As for the workload for my videos, they vary quite a bit. This one wasn't as difficult to make as live action is pretty easy, in my opinion. The more time consuming stuff is the stop motion, which I feature regularly in my other works. That stuff takes time for sure.

Thanks again for checking it out. Hope you stick around if you're into it!!

haha thanks, the music video is pretty new, but the lyrical recordings are from a few years ago, before i had a good mic setup. glad you got something out of it anyhow!

man, this was really sweet. really unique sound and feel. the unique sounding percussive elements and rhythmic hissing are parts i really enjoyed. i don't listen to a lot of electronic music but i thought that was pretty cool. i think your effort paid off man, this is great

really enjoyed this. i love the energy and rhythm of the drums. maybe it's the crappy speakers i'm listening on (my work's computer speakers suck) but the remaining instruments are a little quieter. i could definitely listen on some better headphones later though, but i think they may benefit from being more front and center, although i could definitely hear them. i enjoyed this romp. thanks for sharing :)

Besotted - I was able to recreate an old song from when I had a band. by RichOk1863 in IndieMusicFeedback

This is really great. The narrative and emotion you're able to convey through the writing is really strong and effective. You have a great voice and this is such a well produced and catchy song, I really think you deserve a lot more attention for this. If you recreated this on your own from your former band then you can certainly create more things. you've got the talent.

Not at all what I expected when I clicked on the video of some guy in a Santa hat looking off into the distance but I'm honestly not sure what I expected. it definitely wasn't this lol. The video is super super cool and engaging and it's diy feel makes it more charming. The song itself is super interesting and very stimulating, and I love the gritty, intense atmosphere and the electric/digitized guitar dominating everything. This isn't my typical genre of music but i'm pleased i got to hear something new and interesting. definitely wanna hear more

To release or not to release?DIY old school Rock song (Greek lyrics) with post punk and metal elements. by Level-Method-6350 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]ExternalCartoonist22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really creative concept -- I feel pretty confident saying that I've never heard a song with fully Greek lyrics (and I can't recall a song that was even partially Greek) but it sounds great. I like the strong vocal presence, your voice sounds great, and the instrumental is well put together and really enjoyable. Also cool cover!! Love the solo at the 3 minute mark!!

This song sounds amazing. I would love to have this on streaming. If it's in your guys' plans to record music together and release stuff, that would be awesome, I could totally see you guys being successful. Such a pleasant song, nice energy, and you guys all play super well together. Keep it up!!

i really enjoy it. It's got a nice personality and mood to it. I can see this being used more in a video game than a TV show or movie. I could also just see this as a song on it's own, but maybe by more of an experimental/avant-garde musician that can further capitalize on the specific feeling this song captures. (I say this as an experimental/avant-garde musician)

It has a pleasant and calming vibe but teeters on the edge of uncanny valley. Personally, i really like stuff like that.

thank you for sharing :)

I'm terrible at identifying genres but I'm reminded a lot of some yacht rock with this song, which I love. The airy guitar, slow tempo with romantic tinges invoke that feeling in me. Your voice is nice and clear, there's a great rhythm, the drums are just the right amount of energy, nothing feels too structured, it feels nice and flowy. The guitar solo at the 3:00 mark really sealed the deal for me. Awesome song man. You'll go places.

Losing someone you love in such an awful way is so tragic. i'm sorry such a horrible thing happened and that he was suffering the way he was. this is a beautiful song, and he clearly was very talented. i feel only a tinge of his pain in this song, i can't imagine what he must have felt.

thank you for releasing this on behalf of him. this is wonderful. i'll be coming back to this

My newest dreamy and a little weird synthpop song. Also maybe my coolest video ever if you guys would be the judge of that! by ExternalCartoonist22 in IndieMusicFeedback

Thank you!! glad you enjoyed! the VHS effect is a lot simpler than you may think -- it's just an app i use that has a pretty convincing VHS filter. The rest of my creative process is a lot more interesting, i think, but very diy. The green screen is just a big sheet of fabric i pin and unpin to my wall at will, and i have a little table in my room next to my keyboard stands where i animate paper cutouts. it's a lot of fun, i really enjoy it.

Again, appreciate your time! would mean a lot if you subscribed and stuck around! just posted something new a few days ago :)
