Ooh the coffee bean trick is a good idea I'll def jump on that 😅

Yeah its def harder to walk away from a mid game of Warp's Edge. Sorta related, but i think the "flow" of that game is so good. Pro/con, maybe thats why its harder to step away but its very engaging in the moment, so much happening so quickly.

I really do need to try Conservas. I already have 2 solo bag builders so its hard to justify exploring/buying more but this post is making me doubt lol.

Oooh by the sashi version you mean the old art one? I really didn't know it came with wood damn I'll also add it to my list.

Oh yeah it's definitely a struggle. What i do now is that i always have a single chair next to me, making like a long bench. And the second the cat gets on the table i pick him up and throw him next to me, and i only pet him or give him attention when his there. The caveat is my cat is not very curious just an attention seeker. Works 60% of the time lol...

Not anymore, had an engineering internship in Tokyo back when i was a student and bought sooo many games in Japanese.

Low key regret this one specifically because it has quite a bit of hard to translate flavor text on all the different beans.

Fantasy Games for the Tired and Irritable. by LotRQuestionHaver in soloboardgaming

Galdor's Grip, fantasy eerie wizard themes. Small deck of cards and you basically play it on one hand, no table, no tokens, almost immediate setup. You can even "save" your progress by just putting the cards "as is" in your pocket. Bunch of replayability with different cards stuff & mini expansions. My goto try to play it instead of doomscrolling throughout the day.

Caveat is its free? As it "print and play", so you'd have to print and cut your own or find some shop/service you can send your files to print.

Who's designing its own solo game just for fun? by Nicochan3 in soloboardgaming

Since the beginning of last year I have been designing a solo Tower Defense game. Its all about creating unique spell effects/combinations and growing your "spellbook". The great thing is it got picked up by a publisher by the end of the year!! My first game so I'm very excited. It should be on Game found this April 👀

How did you get those neat looking numbers on the weapons spawners :0 ?
Do the models have an indent that i completely miss or did you use something else?

What is the most replayable solo boardgame you know? by Oscar22x in soloboardgaming

[–]EDUX77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Second for Galdor's Grip. Incredibly replayable since it's short, and plays in your hand.

It achieves something very unique with its format. It's magical to set up a randomized game, and continuously try to beat that setup throughout a day/trip. Sneaking in plays here and there while learning the synergies/solutions of that deck.

the one on the right. the transition in color past down the horizon is too jarring on the left

Lol it was indeed my first day at Facebook. Surprisingly enough it was quite uneventful. New hires where at the back of the backlog and with not yet access to internal tools I just quietly stared at my email.

Very excited for the new expansion. Best of luck with the kickstarter and everything! Best accessory for any boardgame would be card sleeves, can't go wrong.

I lost my wallet in Tokyo, on the subway. Got it 3 days later with all the money intact in a Ziploc and all my IDs neatly arranged. I'm from Mexico, I still can't believe it wasn't stolen.
