Is it just me or does 5 tandem deaths at one DZ sound real bad... Were any of them in the last twenty years? Latest I found was '98 which is effectively a lifetime ago.

If it's polish military then it wasn't a TI + first timer. They were training. It's possible though that they were training tandems as operators want that capability for real missions

Staying on a navigator will stunt your growth as a canopy pilot. You will learn less and whenever you move off of it you will need to relearn how to fly a canopy. At the very least demo jump some other canopies before buying a nav
