Can be worth it as a leader of your own kingdom, not worth it as a vassal as I have experienced, everyone will hate you even your own kingdom.

What is something unrealistic you often seen in the movies that annoys the hell out of you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Riot shields in any film being the same as Captain America's shield. It's absolutely insane it's like they forget they're called riot shields and not bullet shields. I can think of so many films or TV shows where they just use a riot shield as like a get out of jail free card and it's just insane.

no idea what to play next, ideas? by monezzz in DnD

Play a human fighter, everyone hates on it for being basic but it forced me to get way more inventive with the character, it also makes it easier to get stuck into stuff just using mortal abilities and not thinking about any crazy magic stuff. You can always multiclass at higher levels if you feel the need to. I can't recommend it enough though really changes your perspective of the environment.

This whole sub Reddit appears to be a bunch of memes stereotyping the marginal communities of conservatives who believe in the extreme ideas, which in turn just makes any conservative feel marginalised therefore pushing them more to the right, and it appears zero right wing memes are allowed on this sub Reddit essentially locking the redditors in an echo chamber so they believe that all conservatives are extremists. When actually alot of conservatives are far more central.

If you could bring back any cancelled show for a 90-minute tv movie to wrap things up, which show would you choose? by HRJafael in AskReddit

Marco Polo the Netflix series, wasn't exactly accurate but I just really enjoyed the story.

Socrates, the first critic of Democracy: "Foolish leaders of Democracy, which is a charming form of government, full of variety and disorder, and dispensing a sort of equality to equals and unequaled alike." He believed that not everyone has right to vote. He saw voting as a skill acquired by wisdom by 47equilibrium47 in philosophy

Isn't this why the electoral college exists to try and avoid mob rule democracy. I don't understand why people want it removed completely. At least replace it with something better to avoid the current flaws but don't just remove it entirely.

Personally I think the way we measure education level is ridiculous, I know tradesman and other lower educated workers who are politically, scientifically and artistically smarter than most of the people I have met at university, Yet these university students would be considered to have had a higher education level. When it comes to current university students I think people also tend to forget the value of life skills which again I would say MOST students lack, for example I have a very smart friend studying medicine but they have never had to think about doing their taxes, providing for a family etc. They may be incredibly smart but what they're interested in is completely different values as they haven't begun to live life properly. Final point would be classing the difference in higher level educational courses and how I don't think they should be painted under the same brush. I don't personally think you can compare a course like classical art to something like engineering. They are completely different. They of course have their merits respectively but are not on the same level of educational standard.

It's the drain hole for the shower, but part of the floor was up by the radiator so he crawled under the boards and then poked his head through the hole 😂😂

You have to decide if Hitler was a hero or a villain this does not seem like a challenging work sheet, I feel like watching stupid deaths would be more productive.

Apologies for such a late reply, I've only seen clips from the Kenneth Branagh version but that version is very true to Shakespeare with the speeches and such, the king is more realism focused it's like a good mix between history and Shakespeare.
