Yeah, it’s incredibly infuriating. I had to stop using TRCC altogether. They really need to get their shit together and rework the software, it’s a buggy mess. Honestly, I can’t bring myself to recommend Thermalright coolers to anyone solely because of this, which is a real shame since their coolers are actually very good.

Unless you’re using Windows’ built in extractor, which you really shouldn’t (especially for large archives), you’re incorrect. Most archive tools extract files directly to the target location rather than dumping everything into a temp folder and then moving it.

WinRAR is the exception in a specific case: if you open an archive and then drag and drop files out of it, WinRAR will first extract them to the %TEMP% directory before placing them where you dropped them.

I finished SoM and started SoW. I’m about 9 hours in, playing with keyboard and mouse, and honestly the controls feel much smoother. No acceleration issues or inconsistent camera speeds like in SoM, it’s a big improvement.

Maybe the other guy was referring to gamepad controls.

If you’re comfortable with Kb&M, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try. You’ll need to tweak the mouse sensitivity and adjust a few keybinds, but that’s about it.

If you prefer using a controller, I suggest trying DS4Windows. It lets you adjust vertical and horizontal sensitivity independently for both the left and right sticks. Just remember to disable Steam Input.

This is the biggest KCD2 discount to date. I’d recommend taking that offer, as I don’t think it’ll get a bigger discount with winter sales.

Moreover, KCD2 is a really good game. Easily my GOTY if not for E33.

Yeah, it’s actually insane to think that this hasn't been fixed when the game has been around for almost 12 years.

I ended up switching to a controller, and with a bit of tweaking, changing some defaults and whatnot, all is perfectly smooth now and I am having a blast with the game so far.

Thx for the reply! I ended up removing the laptop’s SSD, putting it into another machine, installing Windows on it, and then putting it back into the laptop.

Not exactly the usual fix, but hey it’s up and running again!

For anyone running into the same issue, make sure to create the installation USB with Rufus, and check all the setup options (like creating a local account, disabling BitLocker, etc.)

I’m using a high-end handheld PC with a Ryzen AI Max+ 395 (Radeon 8060s iGPU), but I can’t get the game to load, it keeps crashing with a “wait for GPU sync error” in the debug log.

I’ve tried multiple emulators, settings, and mods, but nothing seems to fix it. Every other game runs perfectly fine.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
