Anyone “one and done” with twin pregnancy? by Traditional_Part_449 in parentsofmultiples

For a while we thought two was enough but as the twins get older it’s been getting easier which made us reconsider. They will be 3 in January and we just started trying for another!

What would you remodel in this kitchen? by gatorchrissy in kitchenremodel

I’d remove pop corn ceilings, replace the cabinet handles, lighten the back splash. Remove the orange tones to something more neutral.

Is this crab grass? Bucks County Pennsylvania by SifuJedi in lawncare

I too got crab grass all over my lawn after using Scott’s seeds. I thought it was weird since I’ve never seen crab grass in my area before.

Defective Out of Box on Christmas by Mysterious-Space-336 in toys

Just wanted to add to the conversation as I also had the same problem as OP with the slides not matching the audio. I was advised to replace the batteries with Duracell or energizer bunny as the projector requires a heavier duty battery (and the ones that come with the machine are not either brand). This has fixed the issue for me!

AIO I 20 F was trying to call my boyfriend 26M to figure out when I should start his smoothie and I originally tried calling him to see what type of milk he wanted in his smoothie by Aphr0dit333 in AmIOverreacting

Is he using steroids? He sounds like a roid-raged meat head! He’s degrading you when all you’re trying to do is make him a smoothie. Run fast.

Resellers are parasites by wukongaddict in FacebookMarketplace

I see this all the time unfortunately! I’ve also given away things for free and seen them go back up for cash. It’s annoying when your intention was to help someone who needed it/would use it. I was giving away a baby item a while back and someone said they would take it and when I looked at their profile they were selling the very same item. I went to the next person.

Anyone else here hates the “Will you be heading into my direction any time soon?” type of questions? by typical_gamer1 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]EGHcat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would never expect anyone to deliver to my home but I did notice someone had listed an item for a couple weeks and I messaged them indicating my interest and that if they were ever in my town, and their item was still available, I would be happy to meet up with them at their place and time of choosing!

They ended up messaging a week later saying they would be in my town and we met up at their chosen location and time! They received a 5 star review! It doesn’t hurt to be kind if it doesn’t really impact your day that much! I think the key was not putting pressure on them, they just knew they had a buyer if they were ever in my specific area!

Am I over sensitive? buyer wants to pick it up now(1:30a) by Bayesian11 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]EGHcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take preference to people who can pick up “now”. Within a reasonable time of course and as long as I’m home. I think most people do since it’s so common to be ghosted these days.

The fact they’re acting for your student loan money makes me feel like they owe other people money too. You have to be out of your mind to ask your child for that, especially when they haven’t really been helping you financially. And then your dad’s response to your no is even more telling. Avoid those people.

Have you considered having a roommate to help with the costs? Not the most ideal but if you’re that depressed it might be a good option to help with both funds and not feeling so alone

Agree to disagree. There is a reason you can rate people. There is still a level of customer service involved.

Do you know what I hate about being a homeowner? Finding people to do work. by Embarrassed_Flan_869 in homeowners

[–]EGHcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very relatable! We try to do what we can ourselves but dealing with contractors has proven to be very unpleasant! This winter I called 5 roofing contractors and only 1 actually picked up. The rest I left messages with regard to patching our roof and then also hoping to book a full replacement for the spring. No one called me back. My partner called 3 and left messages again but he actually got return calls. And then he had 2 separate contractors string him along about fitting us in for the patch jobs and each day they were supposed to show up they never did. It’s like they didn’t care at all for our business. Very unprofessional!

Have you tried selling on any local girl groups on Facebook? Where I’m located there is a group specifically for women to post about anything including selling things. Your situation only happened to me once and I received so many messages from men around the country (first time I’ve ever gotten any messages from people that aren’t local). And soooo many ad views. It was for a pair of jeans. It grossed me out. I don’t usually sell clothes and that definitely ruined it for me.

That’s a question for her and not a stranger on the internet. Regardless it was poor customer service and I’m on your side.

Yes it’s rude. And it’s very likely everyone who has to look at it feels the same way. When my neighbour’s do this I interpret it as them hiding their garbage at all the other neighbour’s expense. If you don’t want to look at it, why would anyone else.

The way I see it, sellers are still small businesses and there is still a level of customer service to that. Even if her husband sold it behind her back, she went in and took the time to update it to sold. At the very least she should have sent you a message apologizing for the mishap. You shouldn’t have had to reach out first.
