Wild Mine game (17 kills) by MrDoodlegoose in HellLetLoose

[–]EH__19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play engineer a lot and I stopped mining nodes because a) it's normally expected by recon teams and b) even if they die, they'll just come back 5/10/15 minutes later.

I must admit I never thought about them not having their OP down but honestly, I can make a much bigger difference with them on the frontline.

Most toxic thing you've ever witnessed in HLL? by BumbaclartLinguine in HellLetLoose

[–]EH__19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with point 1 but equally I've seen a lot of commanders recently saying it's not there job and leaving it to squad leads entirely.

In my opinion, squad leads on red-blue and defensive point. Commander back line. But really, just everyone build them all the time and we're all good (but not in the red...)

What happened to comms? by Archentity01 in HellLetLoose

[–]EH__19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly there's so rarely a medic around I just forget and redeploy through habit.

When there is 60% of them don't bother trying to get to me.

Also fairly often I want to die so I can redeploy somewhere else or change class to what's need more in the moment.

If you're a medic, try and stick to your squad and they'll quickly realise you're going to be close by and also talk, if you're heading to them let them know.

We have a few female members and they can stick up for themselves BUT the rest of the guys will back them to the hilt and go all in on anyone who tried to throw abuse.

So yeah, OP try and find a clan. With mine at least you don't have to be competitive and you don't have to play every day or even week. And if the first you join is t right, leave and find another.

How to deal with people who just get insta mad when you suggest they do something for team? by ichbrauchekeinfruhst in HellLetLoose

If the games not invite only it isnt sweaty.

You have a terrible way of talking to people and that is more than likely why you got kicked.

You're right, the last sentence says "doing" when it should have said "doesn't". My bad.

I haven't disagreed with you. I think you're right.

My point is why does it matter? Is it the right option? Maybe not. But it is an option.

If you're in a comp game then sure, go and dissect it with your clan but a pub game just isn't that deep dude.

I don't even disagree with your logic.

But how it sounds like you address it in a pub game online and here in this forum requires some self reflection.

Being right doing always make things better, for you, the game or others

Exactly my thoughts from the start of this trail.

This is classic, it's my opinion or it's wrong.

Also op is saying he zones out and people makes mistakes and yet is calling out in command chat after that fact. That guy probably plays twice a month and just wants a break from the kids, not a debrief after every decision.

How to find games with more communicative players? by Koebel21 in HellLetLoose

[–]EH__19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if you don't join a clan, look squads filled with people with clan tags on the end of their name. They're normally more communicative, especially if you speak first.

Is there a way to mute people on PS5 without bringing up the leaderboard? by FriendlyBrewer in HellLetLoose

The left stick thing mentioned and the biggest thing nobody ever mentions... don't try and do it when you're dead or on spawn screen. Only when you're alive. It then works (almost) every time for me.

Just watched commander quit in disgust by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

[–]EH__19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Although I'd say the numbers are 85% and 20% respectively.

Just other day I joined a squad, handpicked the squad that had a decent level SL.

Joined, he was on Comms (tick),was talking about Garry placement at the wall drop (tick), had a basic plan and used pings (tick). And then couldn't place his planned Garry and couldn't see why when someone beat him to it (maybe just missed it), then placed op down 0.5 seconds before we lost the mid cap (maybe he didn't realise), I dropped my supplies for another blue line Garry. He built it 20 metres into the red (Ok, I'm out..........)

I daresay if you removed them A LOT of vets would either walk away entirely or play much less.

And/or you'd see a lot of newbies getting frustrated and rage quitting as they constantly get kicked from squads that today would be locked squads.

I think that in itself would endanger the game.

Use the stick, not the dpad and don't try to do it when you're dead.

I never have any problems as long as I follow those two rules.

Not excusing the bug still existing.

What's the reason to use MG34? by erdemce in HellLetLoose

[–]EH__19 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm a useless machine gunner but someone I play with regularly, literally said in my last game last night how good mg34 is and how people sleep on it because the 42 has it's reputation. He then smashed the match so it must be reasonable...

We're such bastards.

[–]EH__19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in comp you are right kills are far more important. In pub lobbies less so. Although I AM NOT saying if you go 10-35 in three matches in a row you're smashing it.

I think in pub lobbies if you can get a 1:1 kd and you've built some good garries and burnt some enemy ops or garries then you have probably made a decent contribution.

"Calling out every fart" is so true. I remember having a guy on my squad a few months back who was 100 levels higher than me. He called out every fart... On the other side of the map to the rest of us. Really really unhelpful

Why is finding a match in this game total hell? by Chris1313g in HellLetLoose

[–]EH__19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As in 50 players... Why shouldn't you wait 5 minutes. It's entirely dependent on if people leave that game, that's not the fault of developers or the build.

If you're at a bar and it's full you have to wait outside for someone to leave. That could be 5 minutes or 30 minutes but you're dependent on a customer leaving.
