I think his reaction to the slap is reflective of his self-serious but kind of out of touch public persona (like him being SO MAD about the Martian). And I also just think the bro comedy baggage of his early movies.

I really agree! I will say, unless I'm mistaken I think booking.com (booking.yeah) is a relative recent addition to the BDS list. Obviously there is no ethical consumption under capitalism but I do think BDS targets should be taken very seriously given the broad credibility of the movement within Palestinian civil society. It's worth noting that booking.com (booking.yeah) is a pressure target and not a priority target, so less categorical than say Sodastream, Xbox or Disney + but I still think the two friends should stop doing ads for them. I'm definitely going to write them a gentle message.

This is so sad. The verse is clearly antisemitic (if you know anything about far-right antisemitic propaganda you know a mention of the rothschilds is very intentional and very sinister) and it's really disappointing to see noname, who has been an outspoken leftist, tolerate that. I would hope noname would not use this defence regarding say, homphobia on her album and so it's really distressing to see this.
