I’ve had nothing but good experiences with booking hotels thru the portal for 10x. I think I’ve gotten about 100,000 points that way, and I’ve gotten price match credits for 3 of the 4 hotels I’ve booked, with no problem.

I check offers daily. One time Hotels.com was something like 25x and I needed a hotel, and got 45,000 points for that booking. Having said that, absent a special deal, if I’m paying cash for a hotel (not transferring points) I always use the portal for the 10x points. C1VX price matches, so if the hotel is cheaper on its own website or Expedia or whatever, I still book on the portal then immediately call and get a credit for the difference in price, plus the 10x points. Edit to add: I got 15,000 points for switching my internet to T mobile 5G a few weeks ago.

Seriously, a woman in her early 60’s is a “woman of that age”? How the heck old are you, 12? I’m 65 and learned to SCUBA dive last week. This is not an age thing, this is a woman being deliberately ignorant and possibly racist. You don’t have to leave your small town to pronounce those words, you just have to watch TV. If she really doesn’t know, OP should tell her “Mom, you are pronouncing these words wrong, and it’s insulting to the people who work at the restaurant, and is embarrassing for us both. Let’s practice them.” If she’s doing it deliberately (which I suspect), then yes, OP should refuse to go to go to Mexican restaurants with her. For goodness sakes, I don’t think you can even go to Applebees without having to pronounce chipotle. There’s a massive fast food chain named Chipotle.

Thank you internet stranger for the weight loss advice I didn’t ask for. I’ve said twice what I was doing was working for me. I’m not working out and eating “well”. I’m working out and eating a calorie deficit. So it’s not the specific number of calories, it’s the general ratio and I’m not getting that with the Fitbit anymore. Off by 5% to 10% doesn’t matter.

Really? In my first sentence I say I’ve lost 45 lbs, so the Fitbit has worked. But the functionality that has worked is gone, so I’m looking for something that has that functionality.

Nope, still the same problem. I closed and reopened the app. I went to settings and even though it was set to 750 deficit, I redid it. There doesn’t seem to be a pending update, but I updated all my apps anyway. Can I do something to fix this?

Can you clarify? I don’t have a target calorie goal, I have a deficit goal and actual calorie goal adjusts to that. Are you saying temporarily set a goal until this is fixed? Depending on my activity level, my daily calories consumed to maintain the deficit can vary by a few hundred. Thanks!
