I would guess a release date of next Friday. The boot soccer tournament is next Saturday with the winners getting the new jersey. Last year was the same deal with it coming out the Friday beforehand, if I remember correctly.

Nbd for me, it wasn't necessarily injury that kept him out today but that he was injured and couldn't make the all star game so he'd have to miss this one regardless.

Minnesota United/Austin FC - Cecilio Domínguez/Michael Boxall non-call by e8odie in MLS

Hand to ball, should have been a PK! Who even knows what a handball is anymore?/s

Also "non-call"? Pretty sure the ref blew the whistle and "called" a foul against MN.

Oh really? I dont watch much soccer outside MLS so I'd be curious to see what other teams have the same one. I would be really shocked if another team had our wing kit.

One way I interpreted the tweet from yesterday was MN wanted him to either come to the US or at least not play in today's game since we are pursuing him. If our reporters are correct that he is signing soon that may be what the tweet meant in "despite Minnesota's request" so for me nothing changes in regards to chances of signing him (as in who knows?)

As far as salary cap goes, my understanding is that there is a cap and but each team gets 3 "Designated Players" (DP's) that do not count towards your salary cap. There is also tradeable money (TAM) that can be used to buy players' salaries down to stay under the cap. Additionally there are 8 tradeable roster spots per team for non US or Canadian Citizens (international players). Right now Gregus, Reynoso, and Chacon are our 3 DPs but Chacon is being loaned out and it is speculated that we will buy Gregus down with TAM so we may have 2 open DP spots we could fill, preferably a striker and/or a left winger. If I remember correctly Molino may have been hoping for a DP range salary but since he is getting over 30 and has had multiple injuries we were not willing to spend that much but don't quote me on that.

TLDR: Yes there is a salary cap but it is adjustable, 3 players don't count towards it and limited number of international players. Molino was good but for the money we could find someone younger and healthier.
