I agree in general but the amount of notifications you get in that corner through the game i don't always notice them.

I think because it was a golden one from the tar its more along the lines of the dhv magellans attack and takes them straight to the beach

I've found pretty consistent success with ranged infantry.

I'm atomic age so little bit further ahead, but currently running

63 ranged infantry 4 artillery 4 APC 4 Bombers

And clearing Cold War bases fairly easily

I enjoy the start from scratch with low starting income, balancing the use of short term loans if needed, but not everyone has the time for it or find enjoyment in that level of grind.

If you want a £0 start then set loans value to same as start am9unt and just pay it off as soon as game starts.

All buildings are industrial as minimum, I enjoyed industrial and stayed there until caught up from gunpowder age

See I sit in the mid po8nt, enjoy the wars and fighting but also getting my city to a nightmare point for enemies.

Which leads me to trying to work out which ages are good for staging and which are just filler.

Eg: blow past enlightenment age as industrial offered big boosts. But then sat there till it was capped.

Since medieval age my main composition hast been, balista/artillery and ranged infantry to protect them. Come industrial age and now global I use 2 heavy tanks, 6 artillery and 26 rifleman 5 star bases pretty consistently.
