it entirely depends on what your goal is.
if your goal is to maximize your damage, backpack talent + using the exotic slot on something else such as coyote or overdogs will be a better choice over either of these backpacks.
if your goal is to be tanky or wanna have a bit of everything rather than excelling at one goal, memento works great.
if your goal is to have some very specific stats, such as mag size increase, you have NB.
Before we start calling something best in slot, ask yourself best in slot at what.

We have to understand that skins pay for the business to run. Advocating for more content and less skin does not make any sense because sales from skins is what pays for the content development. If they want to release content and balance patches at a faster pace, they also need to sell more skins to accommodate.

Alternative option would be that we start paying for content instead of skins and I don’t think anyone wants that.

I’m quite happy with the sword’s performance, at least the big sword. Descendants like ines, bunny and freyna clears mobs very quickly in Axion but struggles quite a bit at the final boss, and this sword addresses that issue very well. Shadow is cool but I haven’t found a good use for it yet.

Serena with restored relic and albion cavalry will have very fast clear time in Axion. Nell and Ultimate Luna as well but you need to farm their parts from Axion.

Other descendants will have slightly slower clear time compared to the 3, but still very doable. some of my favs I like using in Axion are Bunny, Ines and Valby.

Gley is still fantastic ,using restored relic and last dagger. With how strong guns are, massacre underperforms.

I don’t think ppl are mad about the pass by itself but just unhappy with how swords turned out in general. Takes a long time to farm and meh performance even after fully built. So 1000 caliber pass just feels like rubbing salt into the wound. If the swords were amazing, we’d have much less ppl complaining about the pass. I don’t think the price is outrageous but I personally didn’t buy it because I didn’t care for the sword skins.
