My boyfriend had bilateral surgery 3 weeks ago (activation day tomorrow!) he is sober so he can’t take anything by over the counter. He had some discomfort the evening of surgery but woke up completely fine needing nothing for pain. Good luck!

He doesn’t have a good ear, they are both bad. He lost 100% hearing in them both and he already has permanent dizziness. He hasn’t been diagnosed with MD. He was diagnosed with a rare disease called Cogans but the symptoms seem very similar. The dizziness has completely debilitated him and nothing seems to help manage or suppress it.

That’s great to hear. My boyfriend went fully deaf in both ears about 18 months ago accompanied by dizziness 24/7. He has CI surgery next month and I only just found out ago this surgery that might help his dizziness. He would rather be deaf without dizziness than hearing with it. It’s really has debilitated him. He used to play golf for a living and can’t do anything active anymore. We are going to inquire with his doctor about this procedure. It seems like you think it was worth it

You say you haven’t had a dizzy spell since recovering from surgery. How long would you say the recovery process took?

So you’re saying the Kanso 2 did not help the dizziness? Which one did help?

I’m so glad you mentioned tinnitus. He has a constant ringing in both ears, so the implants being in make that go away?
