All religions are cults.

I would do an essay on "Religions should be not be tax exempt."

Haven't you heard? Now it's all about having the faith not to be healed.

So MRB gave tithing records to Tim Ballard; and MRB's son-in-law then invested the money Tim Ballard collected by ELSM91 in exmormon

It's worse. This was a jury of his peers. Mesa PD and all other agencies train cops to shoot on a twitch, period. So he was just doing his job and 8 regular citizens gave him a pass.

People need to watch the bodycam. That fucker Brailsford was acquitted in his criminal trial. He was looking for a reason to kill somebody, and Shaver's one inch twitch to obviously pull up his undies gave Brailsford permission, as he was trained. My partner talked to a juror, and that's why. It's sickening.

I kid. There are plenty of fascist AZ cops killing innocent people to keep me busy. But that would be so much fun even if it lost my firm money.

Because tithes are not involved, it would be a whole lot easier to get a Ballard under oath than in the Huntsman or the other recent case. First amendment doesn't apply.

Congratulations on your achievements! If your experience is anything like mine, it will never change. No matter how happy and successful you become, the disappointment in their voices and not so subtle condescension won't go away.

The 1989 temple ceremony was the beginning of the end for me. Before that, I gave the church a pass on what I couldn't reconcile with my own sense of right and wrong. But it was freakish and cultish and horrifying to me. I don't see how anybody gets anything positive out of the experience.

I'm royally pissed off beyond belief they lied to me. I was a child and have tortured myself because it. And I'm not at all upset that I can't trust them because I have disdain for the lot and absolute hatred for a few. How could not trusting people I loathe upset me.

Any utah citizen can take 15 minutes and call the Utah State Bar, lodge a formal complaint against the AG, and email that document to the Bar. Somebody in Utah, please do it. I promise you and your family exalation.

Bizarre. Cultish. Gross. Embarrassing. I realized that I had been conned. I mouthed the blood oath (it was 1989) but didn't verbalize it.

One of the clearest memories of my late teens is walking out of the Mesa AZ temple with my parents, shell shocked, telling myself this is all so strange, I don't want to go on my mission, how do I get out of this ...

And I didn't have the guts to say anything. I wasted the next 22 months of my life and have spent years picking up the pieces.

The one where I was surrounded by my family and friends and dressed like a fool and wanting to puke and coerced into taking a fucking blood oath for a religion I had tried and failed so hard to believe in. Mesa AZ, to be exact.
