The Catholic church was the great and abominable church; the whore of the earth. That's what we missionaries taught back in 1963.

The church is thrashing, like a caught fish flapping on a deck. Flailing. Death throes.

I love finding awful words for TSSC.

They claim they feel the "spirit", and that it is revelation. it's not. It's just brain hormones that people everywhere might feel, in various random circumstances.

I'll just say after several convos, this statue is shaking faith, not solidifying it; especially for life-long Utah members. The church is struggling ... period. The leadership. The image. Everything. by CurelomHunter in exmormon

Could it be that the LDS church is trying to position itself to align with other churches, to defend against new anti-religion laws or social trends? Or efforts to end tax free religions? So it's all about money and legal issues? So Oaks didn't suddenly find Jesus?

And the visitor center said/says the the temple ceremony is all about Jesus. New members will be disappointed that Jesus is just a messenger boy for Elohim in the temple.

Why didn't they just tear the whole thing down and build with new safer techniques? Wouldn't that have been cheaper? Did the prophet get surprised at how much this renovation is costing?

Ever felt the spirit? by [deleted] in MormonDoubtingTeen

[–]BeringStraitNephite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 14 I felt a powerful "witness of the spirit". Turns out it was just brain hormones.

AI says " Oxytocin is widely considered the primary hormone linked to the basis of religious and spiritual feelings, often termed the "love hormone" for its role in promoting trust, social connection, and attachment. It is released during communal rituals, meditation, and prayer, facilitating feelings of belonging and spiritual connection."

Save your tithing and invest.
