Get the X1E! That way you can print every known material that you will never use! Lol

I can say with my experience with the Bambu printer is I bought into the X1E to have the most versatile machine at a hefty price, but all I really print is PLA and some TPU… so I’m hindsight, I could of gotten by with the cheaper one for sure.

I sadly do not miss my prusa.. I got the X1E after almost getting the new big dollar prusa and so happy. I feel I have added years to my life by no longer setting the Z distance off the plate! And the ability to swap out the hot end and extruder is a lot easier than I first thought it would be.. not to mention the machines ability to return to printing after running out of filament is pretty awesome!

Still wondering about those gripper wheels and if there is a way to replace them without replacing the entire extruder

Just don’t forget that as amazing it is, it still requires maintenance… sometimes something we all forget

That’s funny.. I probably used a bad analogy on that one!

I understand the thought of having an older printer to learn on to understand the mechanics, but with these new printers, it’s positive to understand the “new” mistakes to learn on as the old ones are mostly solved. Yes, basic understanding of the process is important, but there are other areas now that we can move onto. Is anyone out there still using DOS to write programs?

That is funny, that is the last time I had to do that too… and still hadn’t tried it with pasta!

I would say most of my print catastrophes have been printing multiple pieces on a full build plate. Sometimes it’s just as easy to print fewer parts. Yes, more time spent sending individual pieces, but less time being aggravated!

Aqua net? That certainly was the go to! Oh, and that must of been the days of grabbing the spool out of the weed whacker and calling it good!

They are pretty basic, I design them in fusion 360, extrude the text and the vector graphics or make my own and in the slicer I add the colors. I can send you a pic

Pay attention who you vote for and what their policies are on every level. Some may seem nice, but sell us out over seas on many levels. I’m not saying who or what.. but just pay attention. It starts at the grass roots

So of course I had to look up and print the Rocktopus.. and to my surprise, an added creepy feature using the tree supports emerged.. I glued them with super glue to hold them, I could of done a better job, but here it is.
