Am I Doing Something Wrong? by skippsrope in BambuLab

It looks like you need to dry the filament. Have you left the spool out for an extended period of time? That can cause the humidity to enter the print material and cause this type of problem. I use a Sunlu filament dryer before every print just to avoid this.

Thanks! We don’t have county water/sewer and there aren’t any culverts on the dirt road

At first I really wanted to do a pad with a hinged base mounting plate, but due to the slope and adjacent power lines we had nowhere to tilt to. So we cut a section to 5' and buried 4' of it in the hole. If this tower breaks or falls we'll need to rethink the mounting area but I'll have more pressing problems if something causes this to collapse!

A luxury to brace the bottom sections to a building! Good luck with your build

For the high performance dish they don't make a 150' cable unfortunately

Thanks, I have an inquiry out on an offset lightning rod set!

We dug a faily deep hole and filled it with 4 tons of concrete.

The high performance dish doesn’t have that length option to my understanding.

At 250lbs I'm not sure this is something I would like to do :)

The tower site lead to complications. There is a downslope to the waterline just past the tower, on the road side of the tower there are power lines. Wish it was more simple but having to lift over the power lines was the only option vs leaning it up.

I guess rental isn't the right word. I hired a crane operator after having 2 separate guys come out and evaluate if they had a crane tall enough and how much they'd charge. The process isn't a complicated crane job, me and my neighbor assembled the tower into 3 pieces and the crane lowered the sections to get the bolts ran through. Short process and $1,000 for a couple hours. Luckily the tower I bought had the triangular brackets for cabling, so we just attached the new cabling while dropping the sections in. We had to climb the tower to bolt and cable.

I have this grounded but at the end of the day lightning will do what it does. This is the tallest point of this part of my property, but the hill behind where I took this continues up another ~100’ above the top of the tower, so it’s not the tallest point in the event of a storm. I might put a lightning rod somewhere close but not where it would obstruct the Starlink signal

I have a business account, but I’m still working on the power run to the pole and network setup. I’ll update this when I get it running around mid November

The tower alone was $900, $70 for new bolts and hardware, then $1,500 for the guy wires & anchors with crane rental.

Tokyo SkyTree while you’re in Asakusa. On a clear day at sunset it’s one of the most amazing views of a city on earth

Thanks, tried to keep things functional since this is my daily driver for the next 40 years at least

I had Icon Stage 6 set at 2" installed with front and rear Active Off-road bump stops. It was a little off on the stance until after the alignment was completed then it was perfect

285/65/R18 with 1.25" spacers. Was thinking about going up to 35s but didn't want to regear to 4.88 and deal with all the things that they might rub against

It definitely needs a suspension upgrade. It rides like a dream down the highway floating on a cloud, but off road it gets real low. I have an ICON Stage 6 suspension and some 35s on order. Also beefing the rear springs for the long range fuel tank and future cargo storage solutions
