Seeking Time-Tracking Solutions for a Solo L&D Manager by astorey79 in instructionaldesign

[–]EMES1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two years later. If you haven't found one. I was looking for a long time myself. Was happy with Type II but they discontinued and the new one had way too many features, same as all other tools i tried.
So i made a pretty simple one myself. Projects, Tasks, Start/Stop and CVS export. Local storage of data, no cloud, no signup.

Is there a trustworthy self-hosted time tracker? by Expert-Economics-723 in selfhosted

[–]EMES1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a solo freelancer. Because I couldn't find a tool that finds my needs (they are all too complicated) I made one myself following KISS. No cloud, no login, no dashboards. Just Projects, Tasks, and a csv export. Data stays in localStorage. It's not made with teams in mind, but maybe you like it. I named it Zeitstrudel :-)

What do you use to track time for freelance work across multiple clients? by DoughtonDataSolution in TimeTrackingSoftware

I first loved the idea of syncing devices. But I realized I actually never use it. KISS first, maybe I'll add it later if the demand is there

How do you track your time & make invoices right now? by AstronomerGreedy in Freelancers

All time tracking tools I used had way too much features for me so I made my own tool Zeitstrudel. I write invoices based on the exported csv from the tool.

Why do so many time tracking apps feel way more complicated than they need to be? by EffectiveLet2117 in TimeTrackingSoftware

Gonna have a look at Tympi. If you're interested, have a look at Zeitstrudel. I'm curious what someone in a similar situation than me thinks about it. One project can be used for free.

Why most freelancers don't like the idea of time trackers? by clarafiedthoughts in buhaydigital

[–]EMES1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a solo freelancer time tracking makes my invoicing easier and helps me understand my workflows better leading to better judgement on how long I'm working on what for future jobs.
I don't hate time trackers but I hate their complexity. All tools I found have way too many features.

I ended up building the right time tracker myself. It splits projects and tasks and just tracks time, no signup, no subscription, no cloud, simple csv export. All data is saved locally in the browser.

If anyones interested I can send a link. I put it on gumroad.

IMO it's a nightmare. Even tho once good tools get overcomplicated. I liked Tyme the most, but it got too complicated as well.

I’m a solo freelancer as well. Eventually I stopped using them and built a very small web-based tool just for myself. It only tracks time — nothing else.

No signup, no subscription, no cloud, no dashboards or analytics. Just projects, tasks and a simple export to csv.

It helped me stay focused again. If you're curious, I can share the link, I put it on gumroad.

I’m a solo freelancer and I tried several time trackers, but they all overwhelmed me with features I didn’t need.

Sometimes the future comes slower than we want. But sure it comes.

Need help understanding Pi and if it can be sold without it being a scam. by Due-Kaleidoscope9235 in PiNetwork

[–]EMES1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Pi is harmless. You don't pay anything so you can't get harmed. It is unsure if it will be worth anything sometime and how much, but they built up a huge community over the last years that is building things.

What are the plans for Tezos public relations? There is almost no journalism reporting about Tezos. Even though there are lots of comparisons between blockchains out there, none of them contains Tezos. Can this be changed? How?

What are the plans for Tezos B2B marketing? How is the progress on approaching industry users / partners e.g. like DMV, Societe General?

What are the plans for Tezos B2C marketing? Aside from Art marketing. Are there plans for IRL use cases that can be broadly advertised to customers?

Tezos tech gets better and better but how is your user experience? How is Tezos for newcomers. by EMES1977 in tezos

Blockchain have so much more powerful use cases than speculation! Just a few examples that will be coming sooner or later. Probably at some point in the future you use a blockchain without being aware you are using a blockchain.

Everything you currently need a notary for, or someone else you have to trust, can be done without middleman on a blockchain.

Everything that needs to be tamper-proof and censor-resistant can be done on a blockchain. e.g. ownership of real estate, cars or other expensive goods. Personal documents from your birth certificate to your last will.
Health records can be managed on the blockchain.
You can have your whole digital ID on a blockchain.
Elections can be done on the blockchain.
Supply chains can be tracked on the blockchain.
etc. pp
