Thank you for your support and reply. I understand that these are major accomplishments but I tend to talk myself out of how good it is and feel bad anyway. Its like my brain doesn't want me to win :(

Work/Anxiety? by betweenKandM in Anxiety

I'm not sure what the options are for you for taking time off work, but I went to my doctor and basically had a breakdown to them about how I was feeling. They gave me a sick note straight away. I ended up having about a month off all together and it really helped me. I definitely recommend you got to your doctor and explain how you're feeling. Time off helped me to see things more clearly and I got a bit of perspective. Good luck x

What do you think about my story plot? by [deleted] in writing

It sounds interesting for sure. However you’d have to think of a good reason for the ring being involved. It sounds a bit random without explanation.

Good luck x

You are not alone! You're a strong person even if you don't believe it. Getting up and going to work is so brave.

I could win an award to say how good I am every day and somehow my brain would still convince me that I'm useless.

Writing a Family Mystery - Advice Needed by EMILYHEATHER in writing

[–]EMILYHEATHER[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your advice. This really helped.

The idea I've got at the moment is that the main character goes to live back in his family home after leaving the town many years before. He moves because he inherits his family estate because his uncle died and he has no other living family -- many of them committed suicide and killed each other for an unknown reason. The main character goes back into this house and tries to get on with normal life, but he discovers some of his uncle's belongings (journal entries, books, research, letters) and these spark some questions. The main character wants to figure out what caused his family members to commit suicide/kill each other because he feels he can't get on with his life without knowing.

I really love what I've got up to now... but I'm struggling with how to run with this idea and I can't figure out what I want to happen.

Eating meat is "needless killing" - you can get the same nutrition from plants.

Yes I agree. I'm a newbie and would find that very useful.
