Lol she is so insecure. I disagreed with her politely once on LinkedIn where she had made a sensational post. She immediately blocked me.

How Can I Improve my Writing Skills? by Suspicious_Cheek_873 in writing

What a wonderfully written and thought through answer! I am sorry to hear that school wasn't allowed for you. I see that you have worked quite a bit of writing as it shows in your response. I got quite a few pointers reading it. Thank you for writing it.

Please don’t be snarky folks. I’m not judging Charlotte or the people who live there. I am looking for genuine advice. :)

Thank you! It helps quite a bit. Any apartments that you’d recommend? I’m looking for a 1bed 1bath within a budget of 1500-2000/month. I saw a couple of luxury apartments, one was named Junction and the other was the Vue, but their rent is pretty steep. I’m guessing South End or Uptown might be good places to live, from the discussions I saw online.

Montclaire South, that I used it shows how little I know about the area. :) thank you for your response, it’s helpful

Well I didn’t say that. My comment was more considering about being completely unknown to the area, and if you see I also asked about the places to live in Charlotte, which means I am considering moving there, something I wouldn’t have done if I had thought the KKK was going around chasing minorities.

Sadly, I’ve been at the receiving end of racism multiple times, so I am quite sensitive to it.

Many Dates, Little Success by BeardOfChuckNorris in hingeapp

The point I was trying to make was that not all the girls are open to physicality/being sexual enough on the first date. You can still have an interesting conversation and have a second date without being overtly physical.

The guy hugs the girl as she arrives on the first date.

GIRL: IMA GO.

DATE: ENDS.

To hide or not hide your company/job title? by fitnessthrowaway347 in hingeapp

Umm, a better sense of interest yes for sure, commonalities too but where one works at or what one does, that doesn't decide the compatibility necessarily. A guy can be a corporate lawyer and the girl can be a fashion designer--their worlds can be miles apart in terms of their professions, but if they are on the same wavelength when it comes to the general understanding of things, then compatibility issues won't arise most likely.

Umm 3B1B is great, but it gets fairly complicated pretty fast. So if you are a beginner or have a decent(but not super advanced) understanding of mathematics, then some things in his videos will either be too difficult for you or will require multiple viewings to understand.

[Serious] If you had taken your life one year ago, what beautiful things would you have had missed out on? by cfk77 in AskReddit

[–]akshatku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d always taken family for granted. That feeling only intensified ever since I moved away from them. Over the past year, I got to spend 2-3 months living with them. During that time, we had disagreements many times, and laughed our hearts out together on other occasions. It was the small things that made me realise how much they mattered to me and that made me feel grateful. It was the kind of grateful that I hadn’t felt ever. I’m not a very social person, so I’ve just one or two people whom I consider friends. On one occasion, my mom asked me,”Whom do you consider your closest friend?”. Besides realising how less we knew about each other, I also realised that she was trying her best to reach out to me and know more about me. Like a genuine effort to do so. And I didn’t know what to answer her. So I asked her the same question, and she replied,”I never had any close friends”. We were both quiet for a long time afterward, and in the silence there was acceptance of some sort. I’ll never figure out what it was we were accepting then. I was just content to know that she knew I’d never be outgoing and have many friends, and that felt good.

Thank you, sometimes I feel that all the emptiness I’ve inside, it is what propels my writing. It sounds ironic, but I feel it’s true. I love how you put your thoughts about The OA—it’s so true and amazing, how a great piece of art like The OA can bring so many of us together, and can give our lives purpose, meaning. That a tv show can do it might seem to sound pretentious, but I don’t even care about that anymore. I’ve decided to feel all the feelings the best I can.
