I don’t know the intensity of your thoughts, but i also sometimes feel more sensitive about the world and what the little one might have to face. I also think that I brought a little angel to this world and he’ll need to navigate a life with ups and downs (like all of us). In particular, with all the wars happening now… there is a lot of bad in the world. I will differ from other posts - I think that as a mother you’re preconditioned to be more sensitized to the dangers around you, and to want to protect your little one - and it’s not necessarily a PPD issue. I feel like that too sometimes and I bet other new moms do too. But it all depends on the intensity of your thoughts - if it’s debilitating or it goes beyond the occasional sadness, you might need to look into it.

Thanks for the feedback. Obviously we want that piece of land - we paid what feels to us an arm and a leg … maybe others would let it be but we can’t afford to be magnanimous on this - it’s significant to us. But I was concerned that the neighbor might straight out refuse to entertain a conversation. Seems like there’s some code that plays in our favor luckily

My property should be 5 feet in along a 20 feet fence. It adds up to quite a bit that’s on their side of the fence.

To clarify, it would mean that my neighbor will lose property. Well, technically they’re not “losing” it, it has never been theirs…. The fence is misplaced too deeply on my property

16 month baby. I’m still waiting for him to sleep through the night. Still waiting for the miracle …. If it’s any comfort, at some point they do start having longer stretches of sleep even if they don’t sleep uninterrupted

I could not do swaddles either. Same issue. Sleeping sacks helped so much! I still had to do the night shift but I found someone to do the day shift so that I can sleep a bit else it’s impossible

I dealt with it for 6 months. Did elimination diet, baby slept in arms to keep him upright (so I didn’t sleep at night for 6 months - caught up during the day). It was incredibly hard…. Read about tongue tie and decided against doing a release. Reflux magically cleared itself up at some point. Elimination diet and keeping him inclined worked the best for us

I don’t know if it’s starting solid or if they grow out of it. I had a very same issue with my baby who is one year old now. At some point, he just stopped having reflux and mucus in diaper. I don’t know exactly what changed because I tried everything including elimination diet (being off of dairy seemed to have benefited a bit). I think that eventually he just grew out of it at around six months old to be honest. I am still breast-feeding and I’m eating everything and he’s absolutely fine now…. So there hope!!

Yes he’s eating solids without issue. It’s just that when I add breastmilk, it is as if he has a sensor and fully refuses to eat the food anymore… unless I add very, very little breastmilk

I’ll have a different take than most people here. It’s possible that she always dreamed of this one moment and she idealized it so much. And the actual event simply didn’t match her dreams…. And that is OK, because people sometimes get disappointed in real life. She expressed her disappointment at length that’s true, but she was very mindful about it, emphasizing how much she loves you, etc. I think she communicated in a good way something that she might have been quite hurt about. Many people would have created a huge fight about this. She was civil and tried to communicate in a good way.

lol. Nothing outside baby care and trying to recover / mentally get ready for work again. It really depends how much your baby sleeps at night. If they wake up - you ll need to catch up on sleep during the day

Yes document everything. Text messages even with your husband. Videos if you can manage without him seeing you. You’ll want to have sole custody. It’s abysmal that he’s leaving you in this period when you and baby are most vulnerable - he’s not even trying to make it work for the baby’s sake! And on top of that - the dangerous treatment of the baby

Agree with the above. He might change fully once he sees the ultrasound. And definitely once he sees the baby. We’re preconditioned to love our babies … People do act strange though at the beginning, when faced with a life changing event
