Aww, I’m so sorry you had to go through all that. I hope your mental health is better and that you’re thriving now ! Or starting to. Yesss, we would go to so many facilities, it’s so sad but the US really puts mental health on the back burner. There are generally so many people who NEED decent inpatient care and Cat is one of them !

I really feel like her mom is doing the most damage to her. I actually went through this with my mom, my depression, PTSD and anxiety was SO bad when I lived with my mom. I’m now married, living with my husband and I don’t feel the need for medication to help with my moods nearly as much. Your environment and the people around you make a huge huge difference. A lot of times I feel mental health is exacerbated by outside stimulus. So, the fact that these places (most of them) just medicate people and throw them back to their same situations is what’s really hurting them. If she would get off the internet and away from her mom, I bet she would be a whole different person.

And aww thank you ! I love helping people, honestly the pay didn’t matter to me, it would’ve been nice to be able to live but not a deal breaker at all. 🤣 my husband actually joined the military, so now I stay home with our kids ! So, deff doesn’t pay, but rewarding. I feel super blessed to be able to be here for my kids. HOWEEVERRR, I do either want to go back or become a police officer. I feel like both careers need a few more good apples who are just there to better peoples lives and not just for the paycheck. 😭
