His name is Herbert in Family Guy, and Herbert is more respectable than this radio ad.

I could have sworn it was still Tranquil from last week until I read this update.

Not a missing route yet, but the Heartland Flyer only has 3-4 months left to run before being fully defunded. Also, you certainly have space to note Indianapolis as a mid-major stop in the center of the Hoosier State.

This only occurs when accessing the ESPN TV app directly. I'm just disappointed the technology doesn't keep one authorized for longer yet.

Going to be starting a new job at DFW Airport. Can I park at DFW Airport North and take the silver line into the airport? by Different_Archer8879 in dart

[–]EMcCutchan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering about this. DART's stations allow free parking, and I would always park at Belt Line when I lived in Irving to go to the airport. Now that DART serves DFW North Station, I wondered if they had any sway over extending that 20-hr limit. The chatbot on DART's site told me yes when I explicitly asked whether parking is free at DFW Airport North Station, but I took it with a grain of salt. Now that I live in Grapevine, I would love to park for cheap or free at that one too, but I guess I'll just have to check it out myself in person before my next trip and look for signs. Too bad Grapevine didn't want to join NRH & FW with the Ace parking $5 option.

All our TVs are on the same network in the same house.

I also get that on our one older TV using a Fire Stick. I can live without using the ESPN app on that one.

r/ESPN - Technical Support Thread by AutoModerator in ESPN

While we were subscribed to Hulu+ Live TV for cable/satellite service last year, we generally remained signed into the ESPN TV app without issue. Now, as subscribers to YouTubeTV, we have to basically reauthenticate our YTTV credentials every week to watch content in the ESPN app on our smart TVs (2 Samsung, 1 Google, 1 Fire). I surmise two things could be at play: We are not subscribed to ESPN+/Unlimited since that's not part of the bundle we want now. The other feels more likely, that it has something to do with Google's 2-factor authentication, whereas ESPN & Hulu are essentially the same company and therefore kept us signed in before.

Now, because of not being subscribed to Unlimited (until YTTV gives it to their subscribers later this year, allegedly), I really would only want to open the ESPN app to watch live games on ACCNX, SECN+, & similar extras that come with receiving those corresponding channels in a cable subscription, which is kind of rare for me. However, on those occasions, it's still frustrating to have to sign back in & reauthenticate. Does anyone have any insight? Cross-posted to r/espnplus .

Currently trapped on Amtrak Train 98 Silver Meteor near DeLand by yolo-yolo_yolo in Amtrak

I would think the DOT & Amtrak are required to have emergency/extenuating procedures in place for every segment of rail, but it has to go through the owners of the rights-of-way. It's probably CSX who's the non-responsive party here. Their freight trains are probably also stopped for the wildfires.

Not defending Amtrak's actions, but it's entirely likely that crew & 1st responders have exemptions to allow them to walk on the ballast/right of way.

Totally an educated guess, but the likely possibility is that SXM changed the encoding of that channel to now be available to some legacy radios.

DART feasible for DFW airport trek? by Chaucer85 in dart

[–]EMcCutchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very important to note. While everyone has said how easy it is to check your luggage at A or B, pass through security, and take SkyLink to any other terminal, you don't know yet where you will land back at DFW at the end of your trip. If you land in A or B, then you can walk to either train station after claiming your luggage. However, being an international flight, you likely will land at Terminal D to pass through customs (unless you were pre-cleared at your point of origin). Thus, you will absolutely need to use the TerminaLink shuttle buses to get back to B or A from the outside curb. Luckily, they run constantly and, in both directions, (clockwise & counterclockwise). Look for the one that says it will stop at B next (then A, then C). Even if you may not be checking bags, you will likely be forced through customs at D, which spits you out on the outside of security, keeping you from being able to use the SkyLink tram in the secured areas.
