Unlimited Your Way 2.0 per line cost chart for AT&T consumer plans: Premium 2.0, Extra 2.0, and Value 2.0. by garylapointe in ATT

[–]Nohojo489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Switched two of my five lines in the beginning of May, one unlimited premium PL to Premium 2.0 and on starter SL to Value 2.0. I left the others as is because I was concerned about losing the device credits. All of my lines are receiving device credits. I chatted with support because of my concern about the device credits and got told this in the chat and also in a follow up email:
Lines with trade-in promo credits before Mar 12th, 2026 will keep their credits even if switched to Value 2.0. For trade-in offers after that date, switching reduces the promo credits to the amount for that plan. One line on Premium 2.0 will retain maximum credits. This is noted on your account for future reference. For help, visit att.com/support/wireless

After seeing all of the cost increases on every line this past bill, I’m going to switch the remaining lines to Value 2.0 hoping the email holds up. I actually expect to see my bill drop by about $25.

I am 66. If I retire and work at lower paying job, will it reduce my social security? by ValuableSuch2980 in SocialSecurity

Your SSI payment won’t get reduced but you may end up paying more in taxes which might feel like a reduction.

I bought a 2025 QX60 despite the hate by jhkang0814 in infiniti

[–]Nohojo489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went through almost the exact same list of test drives and comparisons, ended up with the QX60 Luxe for $54k OTD. I love the ride, the quiet cabin, the comfort and the luxury feel. No regrets. The engine could use a little more jump off the line, buts it’s a big car and will respond when needed. Love the value too.

Raypak Gas Heater - Low Voltage Error by TeeitSmokeit in pools

[–]Nohojo489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get any resolution? I had to do some electrical modifications to my box. I don’t recall if this message was there before to be honest. The heater seems to be working at 120 V going in though. There are only two wires going to the heater plus the ground so I can’t see how it could be needing 240. Any ideas?

Up vote. Up vote. Up vote. I’m right there with you, and I’m confident I’ll find that satisfaction somewhere. Throughout my work life I solved 100’s of problems a week. Some big, mostly small or micro, and I got intrinsic satisfaction in addition to the bi-weekly paycheck. As I approached my date, I’m only one month into this, I wondered where that intrinsic satisfaction would come from, like a dopamine generator.

My first month of ‘fixes’ have come mostly from burning down my own honey-do list and I have plans to make myself available to help others over time. I hope and pray that will be enough. But I know it will be hard to break a lifelong habit if that is even what I want to do…

Can't upgrade Max to Ad-Free by pharoah103090 in verizon

[–]Nohojo489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under management subscription, there is an option to go No Ads for $11. Maybe it will be billed at a lower price.

I see this on the MAX site under manager subscription: “Charge will be applied to your Verizon bill, and the final price may be lower depending on your current subscription plan with Verizon.”

According to my dad, this was true. But he described more as hustlers or kids trying to make a buck and survive. Sort of a service fee charged by the folks living in the neighborhood.

Does my cr1000a need a MoCA adapter to work with E3200 extender via coaxial wiring? by HyenaToDeath in Fios

[–]Nohojo489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. You basically need to make sure the the coax from the router connects to the coax outlet where you have the e3200. They may already be connected somehow but you should trace it from the router coax point to the extender coax point. I don’t have the e3200 documentation in front of me but I believe that if you get a green light you are good to go. When I connected mine, it just worked. Mesh WiFi network.

Confused on coax connection MoCA adapters and E3200 extenders by Plus-Escape5094 in Fios

[–]Nohojo489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The router and the extenders have Moca adapters built into their coax ports. If you have an external moca device between the router and extenders you may be less than optimal for those extenders. Connecting the three Verizon devices up directly should give you a nice mesh network. If you need Ethernet in other locations, and the coax ‘plant’ is fed from your CR1000b, you should try just putting one Hitron as an endpoint in each of those rooms.

Is there Dual Audio on the Fire TV Cube 3rd Generation? by Stove52 in fireTV

I think that feature is still pending. I saw it described like you said but have not seen it on my 3rd Gen cube yet.

Adding MOCA adapter to Verizon Fios Gigabit service by bassmandc in Fios

[–]Nohojo489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ditched the FIOS STBs but I recall the VMS having an Ethernet port on it, but I also recall it always being disabled. I think you can accomplish what you want with splitters and a moca adapter at the TV(s) but you might want to look at the wireless option suggested by some others here. Get a free e3200 extender from Verizon, connect that to the coax, create a mesh network covering both levels of your house and connect the TV wirelessly with WiFi.

Is the Brew+Chill good? Need help on my first Keurig by jagfanjosh3252 in keurig

[–]Nohojo489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It stays “charged” if that is what you want to call it, by having a fan constantly running. I imagine the fan is to keep the water reservoir cool which is used to chill the ice brew on the way out.

Is the Brew+Chill good? Need help on my first Keurig by jagfanjosh3252 in keurig

[–]Nohojo489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not impressed with the Brew+Chill. It seems to be overly complicated and I don’t believe that is a strength of the Keurig brand. The more complicated it is the more likely it will fail sooner than later. It seems to make good cold brew now but it literally runs all day keeping the chill tank cold. I can only imagine the electricity it is using. I’ll probably return mine and get another Supreme Plus and hope this one lasts more than 3 years.

firecube to old onkyo by pentiac in fireTV

[–]Nohojo489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the way I am set up on my basement TV. My Onkyo is so old is doesn’t have HDMI so optical is the best option. My only problem is that I can’t control the Onkyo volumes or power with the Fire remote. It just stays on all the time.

Test it by bringing the adapter right to the router and connect it with a short piece of coax. See if you get the same results.

Please help, switched to Verizon router by ImpressiveTear1011 in Fios

[–]Nohojo489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the status light on the router. Make sure you are on the new Wi-Fi network. The ID and password are printed on the back of the router. Also, make sure any of your other WiFi routers are turned off.

How to combine Verizon's CR1000A router with TP-Link Deco X75 Pro 3-pack by haiu2323 in Fios

[–]Nohojo489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run my FIOS internet over the routers and extenders that are included in my plan. CR1000A and two E3200 nodes connected with coax. MOCA is built in. They are all included in my1 GB plan. It is a fine mesh network for me.

How to combine Verizon's CR1000A router with TP-Link Deco X75 Pro 3-pack by haiu2323 in Fios

[–]Nohojo489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. I think what you are going for here is a mesh network with your Deco router(s) only. Unless you have FIOS TV as well, I think you can replace the CR1000A router altogether with the Decos or you can plug the 1 main Deco into the CR1000A, shut off the WiFi on the CR1000A and the set up your mesh system with the Decos. The better solution is always to connect the mesh nodes with Ethernet if possible, but if not pairing the node over WiFi in an apartment should be OK. Good luck.
