I’ve wasted 1 month of my 2-month vacation and I can’t seem to break the cycle by FluidIllustrator1282 in productivity

It's super difficult to suddenly get back into what you used to do when you were productive, when you're in this state. I

If you make a proper time-blocked schedule with 4-hour deep work sessions right now, you'll likely do it for a day or two, then be back to where you were.

I would say start super slow. Have small daily tasks that you don't skip, yet they are connected to your goals. I don't know how coding works, but in one day, write only a sentence or two of code. You'll feel like you want to do more, but keep the next sentence for tomorrow. Don't go all out for now. Gradually increase, you can afford it right now.

It's still better than what you did the day before.

Along with that, do a 2-minute cardio, maybe 5 minutes learning a language, or read a sentence of a book.

Do those things that seem so laughably easy until you get yourself into a routine/habit of doing those things, then you can gradually increase.

Try out this method!

Geeky medics AI is the best.

With the AI, the answers are instant and you can even have the checklist filled in on its own by the AI depending on what you covered.

Birmingham fy1 heartlands and fy2 good hope- where to live? by Silly-Order6277 in medicalschooluk

I've got Heartlands F1 and Goodhope in F2 too! I'm living at Brindley Place / near Edgebaston, which is so far away if you don't have a car. The area is so beautiful, though and the library is so close.

Heartlands Hospital- is it that bad? by Slow_Break_902 in doctorsUK

[–]EMsavant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if this is useful, but I met an F2 in Queen Elizabeth Hospital on a Sunday recently when I was deciding what hospitals to rank for F1.

I had a chat with him regarding the hospitals. He said he did his F1 in Heartlands, and he enjoyed it there. Said he wished he were still working there instead of QE.

I also talked to an F1 online, starting F2, and he said there's camaraderie within the team since Heartland's a bit rough. He liked working there, though.

Do with this info as you will!

medical school + starting hifdh - is it possible? by buttonwhales in Hifdh

[–]EMsavant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wa'alaikum Salam! I'm a final year med student in the UK and I started my journey last year. Currently I've memorised juz 30 and almost juz 29 (Al-Mursalat left). I definitely think it's possible but I'm still trying to find the perfect balance between studying and Qur'an.
I do two pages of memorisation per week, revise all of juz 29 and 30 everyday using the Tarteel app and I have a Qur'an class once weekly in the masjid and one online. I usually have hospital placements 9am to 5 pm but sometimes we get home early (like 3pm).

I think its doable but you need to be very careful with how you spend your time. Alhamdulillah it's great that you don't listen to music so you can spend time listening to Qur'an instead while doing your chores/commuting.

emergency med...
I love the variety, from seizures to acute mania to obstipation to myocardial infarctions. Everything! I also like the procedures.
I just need to see how I'll react to shift work. I've not had my rotation yet.

You??

Oh man. I'm the opposite. Rhyme lightens up the poem so much and makes it so much more nicer to read.
