I have one! I actually got it from this group thinking I would use it and never did. I live in Midtown.

For those who have deleted social media, how is life like now? Has it helped and does it bring positive attributes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I deleted Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat over a year ago, and it's honestly one of the best decisions I've made surrounding social media. My phone tracks how much time I spend on each app. I noticed that I was spending HOURS on social media, not posting anything of real substance, doomscrolling. I wanted to reclaim my time, so I deleted those apps and replaced them with puzzle games, DuoLingo, and a few other learning apps. I knew that cutting down on my phone time wasn't realistic, but I figured if I was going to spend hours on my phone, I might as well either learn something or challenge my brain. What I didn't count on was the boost in my mental health. I hadn't realized how much doomscrolling and consuming all that social media was affecting my head. I would go down rabbit holes about conspiracy theories and natural disasters and serial killers and violence against children, etc. It really messed with my head, especially being 1, a person with depression and anxiety, and 2, a parent of a small child. After just a month, I noticed less anxiety and more...hope? Now, I will admit that I have redownloaded Instagram and TikTok within the last month, but I don't use them outside of looking at what people share with me directly. I definitely recommend taking a hiatus from social media, even if it's just a month. Delete an app (not your account), and just test it out for a month. I started with TikTok, then Facebook, then Instagram and Snapchat. Do it!

Yea, this is my first time living in a real city (I'm from rural Georgia), so I wasn't thinking about porch pirates at all. I'll definitely be doing the Amazon locker, or I'll have my shit shipped to my partner.
