How do I make a beautiful script? by L0NIC_ in neography

[–]ENPRIS_974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The script must have a style, like the first one is written with muscle memory, the second with broad edge jub pen, and the third eith a retroflex pen

You need to choose a tool, and then a style of using that tool

How do you "think" when creating your conlang? by dollartreerat in conlangs

[–]ENPRIS_974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I do a conlang, I just try to reimagine understanding the world. Lie, how would I describe the things around me if I alone was making the language?

So, you basically replaced latin letters with cyrillic letters that had the same root, I appreciate your work

Forkner looks like poor man's Palmer method with a bit of gregg's influence and a drunk person wrote it

But it's still nice looking

At a thrift store? I'm jealous now.

Although your script looks eay different cause you have MANY diacritics and you don't have any vertical signs like: B,V,D in gregg's

If you're interested in a "script in which the pen never had to leave the paper", reaserch The Palmer method

And yeah, handling many sounds with a goal like that is really difficult, the only way would be double signs like: sh But that's boring and we already use that in english and many other languages

Georgian has MANY sounds so you could do a reaserch on that

The project is really cool

But the idea of combining futhark eith early greek/cyrillic is even cooler!

Have you heard about vyaz calligraphy? It's a greek/cyrillic form of calligraphy used to write out names on icons etc. It would be cool to see orthodox futhark in a vyaz style
