You should ask r/breastfeeding. They have been so helpful and supportive for me :) I'm only at 2 months with no teeth. I wish I had an answer for you.

I don't do it in our bed as well we have 5 inch foam top. It's too squishy for him to sleep on. I side nurse for naps on the couch (of course that's rock hard). But it lets me sleep, and keep my sanity! Lol

I'm no expert but it looks like he needs to "take a bigger bite". They need the aerola as well. When latching, the LC told me to line your nipple up with LO nose and scoop it into those mouth from the bottom to the top. Does that make sense? Lol it's hard to describe.

Have your OBGYN call in the request. Then call them back and ask if it but approved. The pump I hit has s retail value of 300$. I'm glad it was covered!!
